**Senior Mechanical Engineer**

**Qatar**

_Parsons is looking for a talented_ **_Senior_** **_Mechanical Engineer_** _to join our team! In this role you will get to_ **_conduct and support the delivery of complete Process mechanical designs for foul sewer, treated water, storm water and sewage treatment plants._**

**_What You'll Be Doing:_**

+ _Carrying out Concept, preliminary and detailed engineering works related to the mechanical design for foul sewer, storm water and treated water pumping stations stations to PWA standards and quality._

+ _Familiar with PFD, P&ID, mechanical calculations such as blower sizing, screen sizing, grit classifiers and process pumps including datasheets for the treatment plants_

+ _Carryout design of odour control systems including bio filtration and activated carbon filtration as required with input from the vendors._

+ _Carry out hydraulic calculations and hydraulic analysis modeling for sewage treatment plants and pumping stations._

+ _Carry out preliminary surge analysis for the pumping station projects as required._

+ _Familiar with the design of HVAC, Plumbing and firefighting systems associated with pumping stations and utility buildings._

+ _Knowledge of CFD analysis preferred._

+ _Excellent report writing skills._

+ _Preparing and generating spread sheets to carry out calculations._

+ _Coordination with other Discipline Engineers as applicable._

+ _Coordinate with BIM/CAD Technicians concerning project requirements and timelines._

+ _Conducting client and project meetings as required by the project._

+ _Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met in all designs._

+ _Support the project submittals and No Objection Certificates (NOC) process to the relevant Authorities._

+ _Allocating resources and time effectively_

+ _Stay updated with relevant technical developments within the discipline._

+ _Understand the contract and scope of project deliverables._

+ _Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies._

+ _Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to Seniors or MEP manager._

+ _Attend and contribute in team and project meetings as required._

+ _Complete accurate time sheets by set deadline._

+ _Take on additional duties as assigned by management._

**_What Required Skills You'll Bring:_**

+ _BacheloraEUR(TM)s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification._

+ _At least 8 years of overall experience._

+ _Candidate must have MME/ MMUP / UPDA._

+ _Must be internationally recognized with engineering licenses such as PE, CPEng, CEng_

+ _Extensive experience in design development_ _m_ _echanical designs for foul sewer, treated water, storm water and sewage treatment plants._

+ _Advanced proficiency in relevant software inc_ _luding Water gems, hydraulic modeling analysis, HAP, etc._

+ _Must have thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations._

+ _Excellent written and verbal communication skills._

+ _Extensive experience in Doha/Qatar is mandatory_
