Senior Mechanical Engineer

Preferred Profile:

We are looking for a highly experienced

Senior Mechanical Engineer

with

a minimum of 10 years' experience

, ideally within the UAE. The candidate will lead the full design scope--including

mechanical, electrical, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and ELV systems

--for

residential and mixed-use developments

in Abu Dhabi. This role requires leadership in delivering fully coordinated designs from

pre-concept through tender

Duties & Responsibilities:

Lead and manage MEP design development from

pre-concept

,

concept/master planning

,

detailed design

, to

tender package

. Ensure full coordination across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and ELV systems. Validate system capacities, routing, equipment sizing, and service zones. Oversee preparation and submission of designs in accordance with

ADM

,

Estidama

,

Civil Defence

, and

Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC)

guidelines. Liaise directly with authority representatives and incorporate feedback/resubmissions. Review and resolve

clashes with architectural RCPs

, ceiling voids, wall elevations, and structural elements. Conduct technical coordination meetings with architects, structure, ID, and BIM teams. Approve coordinated shop drawings and ensure documentation matches actual site conditions. Approve or prepare

project specifications

,

equipment schedules

, and

comprehensive BOQs

. Supervise drafting team to ensure drawing quality and accuracy for IFC and tender submission. Support development of Revit/BIM deliverables and review clash reports where necessary. Present design intent and technical justifications to internal stakeholders and consultants. Support procurement and construction teams with technical clarification and value engineering.
