Roles and Responsibilities A bacheloraEUR(TM)s degree in relevant engineering (i.e Mechanical, or equivalent) from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, including a minimum of five (5) years in the GCC region. Must have at least three (3) years of experience in a similar position for international major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects. Engineering Degree or equivalent. Holding professional IMCA diving certificates. His last fifteen (15) yearsaEUR(TM) experience in Oil & Gas, including a minimum of five (5) years in the GCC region: Five (5) yearsaEUR(TM) experience as Diving Safety Rep. Engineer. Five (5) years in diving pipelines/structures inspection and/or maintenance onboard vessels/barges. Five (5) years diving experience in construction and/or civil work. Well-versed in carrying out diving inspection/maintenance projects and/or contracts. Should Possess Teamwork skills. Capability to strategize. Analytical/Decision-Making Skills. Knowledge of HSE (NEBOSH/IOSH) Management. Capability in preparing diving operations "Scope of WorkaEUR of Inspection/maintenance of Projects. Project Management skills. Fluent in English (read/write). Well-versed in IT & its application in relation to work requirements. Responsibilities: Interact and coordinate with the Owner, PMT/PMC, vendors, subcontractors, JV partners, and satellite offices. Prepare conceptual drawings and documents including FEED, design basis, philosophies, equipment selection, studies/reports. Review and verification of equipment supplier's engineering. Review of Equipment Technical Material Requisition (Specifications), such as Specification and Mechanical Data Sheets, for Enquiry. Plan and monitor execution of equipment aspects of projects. Mechanical System Design and Analysis Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, components, and products, ensuring they meet performance, safety, cost, and quality requirements. Use engineering principles and software tools (e.g., CAD software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) to design, model, and simulate mechanical systems. Perform stress, thermal, vibration, and fluid flow analyses using tools like Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and other simulation software to validate designs. Develop and improve design standards, specifications, and methods to optimize performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Project Management and Oversight Manage mechanical engineering projects, from conceptual design to final implementation, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specification. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., electrical, civil, and process engineers) to integrate mechanical designs with other systems. Create detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines, and track progress throughout the lifecycle of the project. Monitor and resolve technical challenges, ensuring that any issues encountered during design, prototyping, or manufacturing are addressed effectively.

Prototyping and Testing Oversee the creation of prototypes and pilot models to test mechanical designs under real-world conditions. Conduct performance testing, failure analysis, and troubleshooting to refine mechanical components and ensure they perform as intended. Ensure that prototypes meet quality standards and specifications before they are sent for mass production.

Technical Leadership and Mentorship Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff, helping them develop their skills and grow within the organization. Review and approve technical documentation, design drawings, calculations, and reports to ensure high standards of engineering practice are maintained. Foster a collaborative work environment where team members can effectively communicate and solve engineering challenges.

Manufacturing and Production Support Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure the feasibility and manufacturability of designs, providing support throughout the production process. Assist in the selection of materials, manufacturing techniques, and processes that optimize product performance, cost, and quality. Resolve any issues that arise during the manufacturing process, such as material defects, design flaws, or process inefficiencies. #J-18808-Ljbffr
