We are currently recruiting for a Senior Manager - Group Insurance to join our Commercial team in our Headquarters, located in DAFZA, Dubai Airport Freezone.
Scope: Senior Manager-Group Insurance's primary function is to improve, and both protect and reduce the risk exposure to Transguard's people, equipment, assets, and property while delivering our service to Transguard's Clients. This will be completed by risk and gap analysis to identify risks and recommend solutions to cover the business's interests. The daily management of the 40+ policies will be the responsibility of the Senior Manager whilst being the main point of contact for all third-party administrators, insurance companies, brokers, as well as the internal stakeholders
Financial:

  • Manage the insurance portfolio of 20+ policies including commercial and medical policies
  • Define insurance budget for commercial and medical renewals.
  • Evaluate table of benefits to ensure it matches the company and client's requirements
  • Negotiate limits, inclusions and exclusions within policy terms and conditions
  • Review incidents and advise the next steps to recover the cost.
  • Risk Review and Gap analysis for uninsurance areas and develop action plans to mitigate financial exposure.
  • Provide comparison and suggestions on different medical plans and work on solutions.
  • Review supplier's insurance documents review and ensure back-to-back cover with Transguard's clients.
  • Support finance team on invoice reconciliation (medical/commercial).
  • Managing additions and deletions of members and assets under the policies.
  • Resolve dispute related to claims and insurance cover with client and supplies.
  • Manage payment terms and supplier expectations on premium payment.
Customer:
  • Primary point of contact for all insurance providers, third-party administrators, brokers, etc. for all policies under the Transguard
  • Work with Emirates Group Insurance for all group insurance policies and cross charges allocations for the use of those policies by Transguard
  • Arrange weekly/monthly meetings with providers to review KPI/SLA with the policies
  • Arrange quarterly reviews of all policy claims and develop action plans when claims are higher than expected
  • Meeting with Business Units to discuss after quarterly claim meetings to provide insight and preventative plans to reduce or maintain claim ratios
  • Arrange insurance covers as and when required based on business requirement and risk profile.
  • Advise senior management of new and emerging risks to the business.
  • Develop business cases to take on new policies to cover emerging risk and advise on solutions
  • Discuss medical plan benefits and suggest options to match the budget.
  • Manage renewal of existing insurances. Data collection and RFQ Documents for renewal.
  • Negotiate on insurance policy terms and premium.
  • Provide support/ assistance on insurance queries.
  • Provide support on TG cash contracts (review /amendments)
  • Monitor the claim trends and provide updates to the management / BU of issues with the claims ratio and best course of action to ensure no margin erosion.
  • Suggest claims reduction/management/support.
  • Manage medical insurance related queries and support.
  • Provide support on rejected medical reimbursement claims as and when require
  • Provide support to medical providers network issues support; and help resolve any network related issues.
  • Support Welfare team on medical treatment approval delays.
  • Setting up Transguard's accommodation clinics
  • Frequent accommodation clinics to ensure the provider meets the needs of the employees
  • Arrange informative sessions for employees on medical health.
  • Arrange doctor support/ clinic set up at the staff accommodations.
  • Provide support on home country treatment approval.
Process:
  • Having understand and comprehensive knowledge of a variety of insurance policies such as medical, general comprehensive liability, fidelity, crime, life, cash in transit, etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all authorities and government regulations for each Emirates and their requirements for medical insurance including but not limited to DHA, HAAD, etc.
  • Managing claim process including document gathering, investigation reports and internal approvals for any and all claims.
  • Manage overall insurance function of the group - Commercial and Medical Insurance.
  • Conduct risk review and GAP analysis.
  • Plan insurance renewal and timelines.
  • Manage policy Set up and policy documents review.
  • Policy endorsements (addition/ deletion/ amendments).
  • Contract documents review (client and supplier).
  • PRM/ Tender documents review, highlighting risk for making a proper business decision.
  • Complete evaluation of the proposals submitted for the any and all tenders for insurance requirements
  • Contract review and provide input on approval and signature process (Clients and Supplier contracts).
  • Interpret the insurance policy and apply the T&Cs to the exposures presented with each assigned claim.
Innovation:
  • Review insurance processes and work on improvements and streamlining, where required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum years of experience required: minimum of -10 years of experience handling similar insurance responsibilities.
  • Minimum educational requirements, include must have certifications (if any) - Bachelor's Degree, Insurance Certification ACII or similar
  • Microsoft Office - particularly Word, Excel, and Power BI
