Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Accountabilities)
Create and implement a comprehensive government relations policy and procedures as an internal directive document for short and long term development.
Ensure compliance with policies and applicable government and industry regulations.
Keep updated about the governmental changes in policies and regulations pertaining to ES business and recommend amendments in applicable company procedures to ensure compliance.
Confidently communicate and deal with government sectors, municipality, utility companies, Environmental Authorities, police and fire departments as well as other regulatory authorities that will need to interface for obtaining licenses and approvals to undertake the ES activities and projects.
Promotes a positive presence and build relationships with government sectors, strategic parties, private sectors etc. for the purpose of facilitating and enhancing ES's goals.
Manage the Government team to ensure that daily assignments are carried out in accordance with approved policy and to follow up on specific issues when required.
Work Performed: Attends personally to complicated problem related to documentation processing and maintains close liaison and relationship with appropriate Govt. Officials to enhance ES corporate image.
Represents ES in dealing with hospitals, police regarding accidents involving ES personnel, loss of passports and other documentation.
Working with government officials, including UAE ambassadors, police officers and court judges.
Manage the participation of welcoming officially visiting dignitaries and VIP's ensuring that suitable arrangements have been made beforehand.
Manage the co-ordination with other companies on matters of mutual interest.
Manage and coordinate CEO protocol, in all ES conference and events to ensure that all arrangements are conducted properly.
Authorizes the document on behalf of the ES and arrange for submission to appropriate authorities.
Ensure completed applications for the work and residence permits, visas and other such documents to meet government and legal requirements.
Manage the progress until satisfactory completion, personally resolves difficulties to expedite issue of necessary documents.
Communicating and following up with HAAD reading any suspicious cases of HIV/ TB within ES employees.
Ensure proper communication between PR & Government team and ES employees in regard receiving and responding to questions relating to the status of visa and other applications and complaints about the service being provided. Resolves such issues to a satisfactory conclusion.
Manage and Supervises and guides Government Relations Team Members in performing their daily assignments and the development of their performance in the section.
Identifies the training and development needs of subordinate staff to ensure that such needs are fulfilled.
Ensures that work under his control is conducted in a safe and environmentally sound manner and the employs under his supervision are adequately trained and fully aware of the ES health safety and environmental policy & practices as well as any potential hazards pertaining to the place of work.
Support Legal Department to follows-up court proceeding against ES personnel or any other issues.
Participates in Budget preparation for the department concerning expenses for hotels and documentation such as visas, residence permits, emirates ID etc.

Liaise with AUH police in case of need.
Represent ES at police station to safeguard the interest of ES and employees.
Consulates & Lawyers
Follow the cases in court through ES legal representative.
Discuss cases with ES legal advisor / legal consultant on ES cases and ESI interest
Fire Brigade
Liaise with fire brigade to provide reports on any cases
Follow with fire brigade on cases that needs to be resolved
Coordinate with H&S to seek the support of fire brigade in case of risk
Environment Authority
Coordinate with QA department to arrange environment agency certificate for ZC.
Industrial License renewal.
Waste Management
Inform the concerned ES department regarding inspection
Communicate with waste management center for renewal of certificate and inspection requirement
Hospitals - Employees under treatment
Collect treatment reports for ES, police, Insurance etc.
Visit the patient on a weekly basis to understand the status
Coordinate with hospital patient Relations section to provide the best possible treatment to ES employees.
Seek home country / outside UAE transfer approval from AUH police and consent for treatment purpose.
Arrange necessary documentation for home country, outside UAE travel for treatment for ES employees who is hospitalized.
Follow ES policy in case of deportation of a deceased employee. Deal with hospital, police, embassies, airports etc. to ensure amicable settlement.
Securities & Commodities Market
Coordinate with Securities & Commodities Market Certificate to renew the license annually
Filing original license and share copies to respective ES departments.
Support legal translation requirements of the ES for business purpose.
Special offers
a. Coordinate with various service providers (Car's agents, car's insurance, typing services, membership at clubs and resort, etc. to obtain special offer for ES employees.
b. Publish the offers to all ES & EISC employees on time.
c. Ensure that employees are getting the rate as published.
Budgeting & Policies
Manage and take responsibility for the Public Relations and governments relation budget, ensuring that the team operates cost effectively in meeting its objectives
Adhering to all ES policies, procedures, standards and methods relevant to Public Relations and government relation.
