Apple is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Government Affairs to drive our engagement in the NEPA region. You will play a critical role in shaping policy and building relationships with key government stakeholders to support Apple's strategic objectives and expansion initiatives.

Description

The Senior Manager Government Affairs NEPA necessitates a deep understanding of the regulatory and policy environment that impacts Apple. The role will support expansion projects in priority countries and take the lead on key policy issues, representing Apple's position with policy makers, influencers and trade associations. It will build relationships and liaise with internal stakeholders to build knowledge, advocacy strategies and achieve results.

Responsibilities

Lead strategy in the NEPA region, map and prioritize government stakeholders by issues, strategic projects and lines of business. Key advisor to GA leadership on NEPA region. Prioritize engagement according to Apple internal and external priorities. Build/enhance Apple's relationships with key government stakeholders. Manage Apple's government engagement and implement engagement strategies. Provide thought leadership on key economic and political issues and build/advise on advocacy strategies and campaigns. Network internally to disseminate information, as well a gather expert input. Advise internal stakeholders on political and cultural landscape and provide solutions. Proactively identify policy developments in NEPA and assess their impact on Apple Represent Apple's position with governments and policy makers to maximize regulatory opportunities and eliminate/minimize threats. Support Expansion initiatives in priority countries. Collaborate with GA team and cross-functional colleagues to develop Apple's positions and strategies regarding key policy issues. Participate in trade associations to represent Apple's views and interests.

Minimum Qualifications

Masters Degree in Political Science, Policy or Economics. Preferably in strategic intelligence and crisis management. 10+ years of relevant experience in Government organisations and/or tech multinationals. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, policymakers, and industry stakeholders with experience successfully driving substantial regulatory change to improve operations Deep understanding of the political and economic landscape, and policy building landscape in the NEPA region with specific knowledge of Iraq, Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective advocacy strategies. Experience in driving business expansion projects in emerging markets. Experience in driving and leading trade association activity.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in developing markets such as South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Morocco. Highly motivated self-starter with a passion for working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Ability to navigate complex-matrix environments and diverse cultural environments. Strong networking skills with the ability to develop trust based relationships Understanding of Apple's Government Affairs & Public Policy issues and advocacy culture Fluency in English, French and Arabic.
