Job Description

Our client, a leading government entity, is looking for a Senior Manager of Strategic Finance to join their team in Abu Dhabi. This person would be responsible to develop strategic plans for their largest asset and other priority areas, overseeing their execution, and ensuring compliance with the entity's strategic direction.

Role:

Project Management and Delivery :-
- Manage a team of managers, analysts and graduate trainees to ensure high quality deliverables
- Lead development of management consulting-style analyses and policy briefs to CEO, Board, and other senior stakeholders
- Lead the team's problem solving sessions
- Develop project plans, identify key deliverables, milestones, and monitor progress against the plan

Support Existing Project Portfolio :-
- Manage execution of strategic & operational projects of assets
- Oversee strategic financial performance, including annual budget, revenue generation, and cost optimization. Recommending actions to ensure the asset is in line with established strategy and plan
- Scan & analyse key trends, programs, and initiatives in Abu Dhabi and the Industry's landscape, making recommendations to strategy to ensure continuous growth and ROI
- Steer engagements of external management consultants and other professional services providers

Joint-Governance :-
- Support the development of agenda and associated content for various joint-governance committees (e.g., Executive Committee, Finance Advisory Committee)

Practice Building Initiatives :-
- Lead policy and strategy practice development initiatives, e.g., L&D, recruitment, performance management

Requirements:

- Bachelor or higher (preferred degree in Business, Public Policy, Engineering, Economics)
- Minimum 9 years of experience in strategy, having worked with top management consultancies (McKinsey & Co., Bain & Co., BCG)
- Experience leading large scale projects end-to-end
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects, preferably in a public sector context
- Experience applying project management methods for project scoping/design, development, and execution of project plans, quality, and risk management
