Our Financial services (FS) function within our Financial Accounting Advisory Services practice (FAAS), supports our clients with their accounting, regulatory and reporting challenges. Our teams provide insights and services that accelerate analytics, decision making, and innovation to build a stronger and more efficient finance and risk function.

To continue the successful growth of our FAAS FS team, we are looking for talented professionals to engage on complex finance transformation, accounting, regulatory and reporting issues.

Your key responsibilities

You will become part of an international and inclusive team, where you will play a critical role in building a better working world for our people, for our clients and for our communities. As a Senior Manager in the FAAS FS team, you will be involved in advising our FS clients (e.g., banks and insurance companies) on a wide range of finance and regulatory topics, including supporting with transformation projects (e.g., implementing new regulatory requirements) as well as supporting with ad hoc finance and regulatory matters. .

As a Senior Manager you will work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients with their complex transaction accounting and reporting needs.

Understanding client's needs and connecting this with EY solutions to create value for clients. Being a trusted advisor and equipped with a deals mindset while solving complex transaction accounting and reporting issues around high-profile transactions, IPOs and other transformational events for clients. Dealing with competing priorities, delivering to challenging deadlines, understanding how to manage resources and communicating effectively are key skills. This will have a huge impact on those around you and help promote a positive work ethic.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Economics, (quantitative) Finance, business administration or a comparable field

• Minimum on 7- 14 years working experience in the financial services sector

• Established experience of Basel standards, GCC local prudential regulation or other regulatory topics

• Excellent communication skills both business as well as technical

• The ability to translate regulatory requirements and support with solving client's problems

• Supervising and coaching junior team members to ensure that they can continue developing both professionally and personally

• Should have team handling and project management experience

Ideally, you'll also have

• Prior experience working with a consulting firm in the MENA region
