Job Description

Our client, a dynamic semi government entity based in Abu Dhabi, is looking for a Senior Manager of Regulatory Affairs to join their team. The role will be reporting the the VP and will be responsible for leading regulatory affairs as well providing commercial and analytical support for the Asset Management department.

The role:

- Responsible for all regulatory matters for the organisation and subsidiary companies
- Ensure regular liaison with the Regulators, notably to lobby for Regulations that are suitable to the way the organisation conducts its business
- Manage all correspondences received from regulators, share with relevant internal stakeholders
- Prepare financial impact analysis (NPV, IRR, DCF models etc.) of regulatory decisions, particularly in relation to tariffs
- Compile and submit license and permit applications to the relevant Regulators in Abu Dhabi and Dubai
- Coordinate with internal departments to obtain all relevant information and data required by the Regulators
- Ensure group compliance with the relevant regulations
- Ensure license conditions are met and outstanding actions are closed out and reported to the Regulator
- Prepare annual filings and periodic reports as required by the Regulators
- Establish and enhance policies, procedures and processes to ensure effective governance of Regulatory Affairs

Requirements:

- UAE National with a Family Book
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, Business/Finance or equivalent
- 8 years' experience in compliance or finance role in Utilities/Real Estate/Industry
- Investment banking, private equity, big 4 or consulting experience preferred
- Financial modelling and analytical skills (DCF/ cash flow modelling)
- Fluent in English (must be able to prepare letters and presentations in English) Arabic is an advantage.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
