Job Description

  • This role is a professional with significant compliance capabilities, responsible the Compliance Due diligence the Subsidiaries assuring regulatory compliance in BSF’s Subsidiaries operations. And also works as an individual contributor and recommends change through presentation of facts and/or legislation. This position reports directly to the Head of Regulatory Compliance.
  • The Senior Manager Regulatory Compliance for Subsidiaries and Affiliates is responsible to handle BSF Subsidiaries to support all the testing and monitoring mandated under the Compliance control. He/She will also suggest appropriate areas (identified through their testing and monitoring process) to address in order to prevent further breaches of SAMA rules, policies and external regulations and to ensure implementing the controls in the right methods.
  • Actively lead the participation Self-Assessment meetings and works closely to analyse the risk elements and advise them to any actions needed.
  • Lead the conduction the Semi-annual reviews of subsidiaries/ SPVs/ SIVs.
  • Conducting an Annual reviews and an oversight of subsidiaries/ SPVs/ SIVs to ensure the implementation of Compliance regulations.
  • Conducts cross-checking of the monitoring activities carried out by the Subsidiaries’ function areas, escalates identified the short-coming or weaknesses.
  • Providing advisory services in term of regulations and Compliance when explicitly requested in writing and in advance.
  • Responsible for keeping detailed records of all compliance testing and review and provide timely and professional responses to all requests.
  • Liaises with Compliance team members on providing any requested information in a timely manner, under the guidance of Head of Regulatory Compliance.
  • Conduct when necessary meetings and visits to Subsidiaries.
  • Monitor the correction of any major regulatory observations.
  • Represent BSF in any compliance activities with Subsidiaries.
  • Highlight to BSF Compliance management any major challenges or Compliance risks related to Subsidiaries.
  • Develop the relationship between BSF Compliance and Subsidiaries Management.
Detecting and Combating Fraud:
  • Create an ethical environment within the concerned Group / Division and behave with integrity by setting an example to all other employees.
  • Follow proper control procedures / measures and refrain from violating rules and procedures by abusing your authority. Ensure all staff under your management understand, document and record their responsibility in detecting and combating fraud.
  • Provide the necessary guidance and support for employees regarding the notification of suspected fraud..
  • Fully cooperate with AFMD regarding implementing recommendations and preventive measures.
  • Read, understand and comply with AFMD Policy and Procedures.
  • Commit to report fraud cases or suspected behavior as per the Whistle Blowing and Code of Conduct &and Professionals Ethics Policies.
  • To have the highest standards of ethics, commitment and honesty as per the Code of Conduct and Professionals Ethics.
Operational Risk:
  • Ensuring group-wide adherence to the Operational Risk Management Policy, including the timely reporting of operational risk incidents and related cooperation to analyze and bridge internal control gaps.
Compliance:
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations and report any violations or financial crimes, including money laundering and terrorist financing.

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Business
  • 8-10 years banking experience in related field and 5-8 years within Compliance/Audit areas of the bank
  • Excellent understanding of the Business, products and services
  • Excellent analytical and investigative skills
  • Experienced of writing policies and departmental documents in compliance with regulations
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret the regulations and banking laws of the Kingdom
  • Excellent understanding of all the compliance fields
  • Sound experience of meeting tight deadlines and working under pressure
  • Excellent computer/Microsoft skills
  • Sound experience of leading teams
  • Excellent Project management skills
