: Role: Senior Manager - RBG, PBG & ADIB Securities Business Finance Location: Abu Dhabi Role Purpose: Responsible for end-to-end Business Planning activities, including development and monitoring of budgets and plans for businesses, products and channels. Performance analysis across all products, channels and segment for Retail banking. Support to senior management in the achievement of the strategic and tactical objectives of the business. Key Accountabilities of the role 1] Produce Quality Business Analytics
Provide insightful Analytics to drive growth
Identify new portfolio opportunities
Use Business intelligence for optimum customer segmentation
Develop dashboards for portfolio performance management
Understand and track/monitor Key Performance Indicators that drive business performance, reporting and analytics across functions. Understand how these metrics and measures align and track against overall business strategies, goals and objectives.
To use business and market intelligence (& analytics) to arrive at customer segmentation/ CRM and maximize returns on customer lifecycle value.
Regular monitoring of performance vs. plan while identifying areas requiring focus.
Work with other business units to identify key opportunities.
Define and develop standard dashboards for monitoring business performance (including leading indicators) across segments, products and channels
2] Effectively Monitor Portfolio
To deliver value added analysis, commentary and recommendations on business, product & channel performance to drive exceptional performance at overall & functional level
Develop various sub product, channel and segment financials
To prepare, monitor and analyze customer level profitability
Prepare and Monitor channel productivity and profitability
Product profitability by sub segment to support risk policy discussions
3] Budgeting & Planning Support
Support Budgeting activities
Development of planning templates
Vintage analysis
Work in coordination with Business Planning teams and product units for budgeting activities, by providing segment level KPI's for all retail products.
Support development of planning models, with vintage level data.
Vintage analysis to support key assumptions during planning cycle.
4] Produce Periodic Portfolio Decks and Product Cubes.
Assess report requirements
Development of portfolio decks
Develop product cubes with cross-sectional data cuts
Enhance existing templates
Continuously assess report requirements from all stakeholders, including product and sales teams, and country teams.
Publish regular monthly review decks
Develop product level data cubes with cross-sectional data cuts.
Enhance data templates based on requirements and feedback.
5] Stakeholder Management
Maintain key relationship with Country Finance teams
Ensure conducive team environment is in place
Support management of relationships with key stakeholders
Develop and maintain key relationships with Group/ Country Management and the country Finance teams.
Stakeholder management with key personnel within ADIB. Ensure team spirit and culture of shared ownership.
Support the management of relationships with key external stakeholders including Associations, local regulators, other banks, suppliers and local industry bodies, as required.
6] Controls & Risk
Act as a backup contact point for Financials-related legal, regulatory and compliance matters for Retail Banking
Identify and drive process improvements, without loss of integrity.
GL monitoring identifying any risks and irregularities in terms of balance movements.
Ensure that adequate data privacy & information security procedures are followed during generation / transmittal of data for internal /external stakeholders
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
MBA / Finance Degree
Excellent numerical & analytical skills will be required to obtain, prepare, assess and assimilate very complex and detailed information
Good understanding of Retail banking products/ policies/ plans/objectives in order to pro-actively embrace systems/procedure changes within the function Excellent People Management Skills and interpersonal Skills
Expert skills in MS SQL, working knowledge of SAS, VBA, Business Objects preferred
Fluent in the use of Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Previous experience required (if any)
Prior experience in a similar function or Finance/Business Planning/ Analytics role preferred.
