Job Description

  • Strategy . To support the Head of UAE Communications in developing PR & Media Relations Strategy for the UAE region based on:
  • business objectives for the UAE region
  • the regional application of the Brand Purpose; the Global Brand Architecture and VI system; and Global Brand Re-positioning and Communications Strategy
  • measurable strategic objectives for building the business and the brand in UAE
  • Planning . To develop and manage an annual PR & Media Relations Plan that:
  • establishes specific targets and milestones to be accomplished within each calendar year
  • details the key initiatives to be delivered to meet these objectives
  • identifies the budgets and resources required to deliver the plan
  • Implementation . To drive the Implementation of the Plan by:
- creating news-worthy stories, identifying relevant media opportunities and building the media profile of the company and its leadership - effectively and cost-efficiently managing external agency resources - managing collaboration with Communications colleagues at regional and global levels
  • Measurement. To contribute to an overall dashboard of Communications measurements by:
- establishing relevant and actionable measures of earned media performance - monitoring and reporting delivery against well-defined objectives - enabling investment to be justified on the basis of robustly measured outcomes and ROI
  • Tactical Responsiveness. To maintain the flexibility and agility to respond to short-term changes, including.
  • changes in the competitive environment ( based on regular monitoring of competitor activities )
  • unforeseen business problems or opportunities
  • \xe2\x80\x98Crisis Management\xe2\x80\x99
  • Continuous Improvement. To encourage and nurture a culture of innovation designed to:
  • explore new and better ways of telling of brand stories on both internal and external platforms
  • develop new brand growth opportunities for the Group
  • draw on experience and learning from the best practices of other leading brand owners and Agency specialists
  • Compliance. To constantly adhere to and actively promote behaviours which reflect the DP World Brand Purpose while specifically:
  • maintaining the highest levels of Safety standards
  • complying with DP World Principles, Code of Conduct and Ethical policies
  • meeting all agreed standards for DP World Brand and Visual Identity
