• Research: Research and user testing to enable real customers to validate projects and initiatives
• Product Design: Design center of excellence. Championing design principles and craft across the bank.

Job Purpose

The Senior FinTech Manager will help teams across the bank to unlock the potential and value of FinTech. This candidate will help FAB to identify and capitalize on FinTech and Open Banking as it continues to mature in the region.

The candidate will focus on 4 key areas of FinTech maturity for the bank. * Lead on the development of our FinTech Ecosystem with global accelerators, hubs and key industry experts

• Lead the FinTech Engagement including scouting, POCs, Pilots and commercialization. Leveraging our Open Banking capabilities and regional regulatory partnerships/sandboxes
• Development of the internal FinTech Mindset at the bank. Building awareness around FinTech and Open Banking
• Support and develop our Venture Building activities with key partners

Key Accountabilities

FinTech Ecosystem * Develop and manage our FinTech ecosystem, including local and global accelerators and platforms. Enable FAB to access and identify suitable FinTech efficiently through this network of partners

• Support business teams to scout and identify suitable FinTech. Manage ecosystem briefs, shortlisting, pitch days and events
• Introduce disruptive FinTechs / NuTech opportunities and potential Open Banking partnerships to teams.

FinTech Engagement * Take ownership of FinTech Engagement. Enable FinTech success for teams

• Manage FinTech proof of concepts (POC\'s) from feasibility to full delivery. Scope, design, ideate, test and deliver technology-based projects to solve identified problems for the bank
• Lead interdisciplinary teams & external partners, designers and other technology experts to build FinTech powered experiences and solutions
• Capitalize on the ADGM Digital LAB. leveraging its full potential as a sandbox to conduct FinTech POCs efficiently
• Develop a smooth \'graduation\' of FinTechs from Sandbox to FABs Production Open Banking rails (AISP / PISP)
• Identify strategic Open Banking and FinTech partnerships for teams

FinTech Mindset * Develop the \'FinTech Mindset\' across the bank through Workshops, Events, Content, Stories and Pitch Days with our ecosystem partners.

• Evangelise FinTech & Open Banking in FAB & bring the potential closer to teams.
• Sponsor and lead the FinTech curriculum (Digital FLEX / FinTech). Ensuring content and learnings are relevant and valuable to both FAB/candidate

Leadership * Strategically develop the commercial value of shortlisted FinTechs. Enabling teams to transition from POC to production efficiently.

• Work with procurement, risk and IT to optimise the FinTech journey from sourcing to production in the bank
• Advocate FinTech and technology innovation and promote a culture that challenges traditional thinking across the bank
• Build valuable relationships with Snr stakeholders across the bank
• The ability to enable and empower teams to better understand and explore new technologies, platforms and services

Qualifications

• 6+ years working and leading teams on interactive/technical builds
• Experience working and leading teams with Tech / FinTech
• Deep Knowledge of and curiosity about all things FinTech / Open Banking and its impact on banks
• Strong command of the English language both verbal and written, is a must.
• Demonstrates flexibility when addressing shifting or competing priorities
• Excellent presentation skills
• Impeccable personal time management
• Proven history leading or working with cross-functional teams to create powerful, effective and coherent digital products
• Ability to build interactive demos using rapid prototyping tools is a plus
