- Supports or leads multiple Government Affairs projects to maximise the effectiveness of interactions with government bodies and government officials.
- Oversee and drive cross functional collaboration to deliver agreed projects and programs with government bodies and authorities
- Communicates local government insights to brand teams and helps brand leaders develop appropriate responses and incorporate legislative and regulatory changes into their brand strategies.
- Follows developments in managed markets and may contribute to developing managed market strategies
- Prepares briefs and other documents aimed at influencing government and regulatory developments and channels these through a network of public sector contacts.
- May oversee the regulatory submissions of one or more products, ensuring all documentation and evidence is properly prepared to maximise likelihood of success.
- Collaborates with other colleagues within Government Relations functions to share best practices, key contacts, intellectual capital, and emerging issues.
- May be responsible for budgetary accountabilities.
- Develops responses to new legislative initiatives and emerging issues that could impact AstraZeneca.
- Ensures the brand strategies, market strategies and other functional strategies incorporate developments in the legislative and regulatory environment.
- Acts as an expert resource for brand leaders and other managers, helping them understand the impact of legislative and regulatory changes on their areas of focus.
- Builds networks with other colleagues within Government Relations functions to share best practices, key contacts, intellectual capital, and emerging issues.
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Healthcare, Government Relations, Communications, or related field
- Experience in interactions with Government Officials and/or senior HCPs working Government functions
- Significant experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
- Advanced Communications Skills
- Strategic Thinking & track record of cross functional collaboration
- Comprehensive understanding of the commercial pharmaceutical marketplace
- Proven Project Management skills
- Experience managing other employees and leading project teams
- Knowledge and experience of managed markets
- Relationships with senior official stakeholders in environment agencies, healthcare sustainability function.
