This massive genomic sequencing capability is accompanied by an aggressive growth strategy in other omics, including proteomics.

Our partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) supports an ambitious plan to take our leading genomic and proteomic services global.

Looking for a results-driven and experienced Senior Sales Manager, focused on the Omics Center of Excellence, to support the growth of G42 Healthcare\xe2\x80\x99s customer base, and help execute their commercial & sales strategy to maintain and drive business growth.
The opportunity Responsibilities:
You will have a direct impact in implementing G42 Healthcare\xe2\x80\x99s sales strategy & operational plans in alignment with their over-arching business goals and objectives.

The Senior Sales Manager will be accountable for sales in our genomic sequencing and proteomics services, globally. This is a role that combines hands on sales management, business development, growing a sales team, developing commercial strategy and delivering a clear, competitive offering to our global clients. This is a dynamic, fast-paced and customers-facing role in liaison with technology, bioinformatics and laboratory business units. The role will be working closely with AWS, proteomics and other partners dedicated business development staff and will receive joint training.

You will understand client needs across government, research institutes, hospitals, biobanks, pharma and other entities delivering best in class commercial proposals and taking opportunities from early lead to contract and invoice.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Be accountable to achieve annual sales objectives with effective forecasting / planning / execution across all channels (B2G, B2B and B2C)
  • Be able to cross sell the entire G42 Healthcare portfolio leveraging the appropriate internal specialists (Biobanking, Clinical Genomics, Diagnostics, CRO services, Environmental Sciences, digital health)
  • Grow a global, healthy and diverse commercial pipeline for G42 Healthcare genomic sequencing, and proteomics services
  • Draft / review / negotiate commercial proposals for tenders, RFPs, RFIs or other engagements in tight collaboration with commercial finance, SMEs, AI and Tech teams, plus other relevant support functions
  • Establish and control prices by monitoring margins, competition, and short / long term business opportunities.
  • Manages, develops and grows team of Business Development Managers, Sales Executives, Regulatory, Distributors and satellite G42 offices
  • Reports into Sales Director for G42 Healthcare
  • Support strategic planning and in-depth genomics and proteomics landscape mapping to identify key global opportunities for partnerships and commercial collaborations
  • Work closely with our AWS partners and their dedicated technical business development manager grow and secure sales across industry, government, universities, startup or other client entities
  • Own relationships and attend global events to engage with key opinion leaders and promote the visibility of the unique G42 Healthcare Sequencing, Proteomics service offering.
  • Support market research to proactively identify possible partners of interest in areas of priority
  • Travel up to 50% of time depending on need
  • Work flexibly and with a commercial and service-oriented mentality, to identify opportunity and/or support excellence and growth across the business.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate would have sold experience in genomic commercial roles, preferably with global experience in developing and selling genomic sequencing and other related omics services.

The ideal candidate would have a current, global, technical and deeply commercial grasp of genomics and omics but also a good understanding of related data, bioinformatic and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate would be based in the UAE.

  • 10+ yrs expert understanding of genomic sequencing services and their sales.
  • Track record of commercial success in technical fields of health, and/or life science field ideally with postgraduate degree in related subject
  • Good technical and excellent commercial understanding of genomic sequencing technologies, including complex aspects of pricing, methods, data and relevant analytics
  • Superior written, verbal and presentation skills including drafting of commercial proposals, RFPs, decks and other collateral
  • Solid people management skills to develop and grow team profile, skills, attitude and capabilities
  • Track record of on the ground business development with ability to generate leads in new environments and structure teams
  • Global network of clients that consume genomic, sequencing, proteomics services
  • Ability to liaise with executives, medical, biomedical, scientific, commercial and government stakeholders
