Job Description

- Handling air freight, sea freights and heavy lift movement.

- Issuing RFQs to various freight forwarders once material is ready for shipment.

- Responsible for shipping/planning of raw materials from various origin countries to fabrication shop in UAE and destination project site.

- Coordinating with project engineers & managers on planning purchase orders of project materials to ensure cost effective and timely delivery at site.

- Negotiating with transporters, Airlines, Shipping Lines & shippers, etc to ensure seamless and cost-effective movement of consignment.

- Coordinating and supervising material movements in accordance to national /international regulations pertaining at the time of shipment.

- Ensure completion of shipping documents and perform efficient transportation, inspection, tracking and distribution of materials.

- Maintains shipping reports for regular project management meetings.

- Harmonizing with the expediting team/delivery team for releasing the SRN/SN thus making the arrangements for the shipment for meeting the project milestones and the deliverables

- Well versed with all technicalities related to Logistics, Supply chain Management

- Well versed in handling all operations related to air, ocean freights and heavy lift.

- Managing operations with accountability for incremental volume & profit growth.

- Ability to deliver under stress in order to meet the project schedule.
