Senior Legal Counsel Regional Infrastructure Leader
Job Description
An established global operator in the infrastructure and sustainability sector is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its HQ in Abu Dhabi, supporting complex projects across GCC.
The Role:As part of a close-knit regional legal team, the successful candidate will take the lead on:
Structuring and negotiating large-scale commercial contracts (including EPC, O&M, BOT, BOO, DBO models)Advising internal stakeholders on legal risks across BD, proposals, and project executionSupporting M&A activity and regional investment structuringWorking with external counsel on disputes, claims, and arbitration mattersEnsuring consistent compliance with group policy and local legal frameworks
Ideal Candidate Profile:Qualified lawyer with 5+ years' post-qualification experienceBackground in infrastructure, construction, energy, or utilities (either in-house or private practice)Familiarity with contract law, project finance, and cross-border transactionsConfident drafting and negotiating commercial agreementsCommon law education preferred; fluent English essential
