The Al Futtaim group legal team is currently seeking an experienced legal professional to join the organization as a 'Senior Legal Counsel - Commercial'.
ROLE PURPOSE
Providing commercial legal advice and support to Al Futtaim's Automotive, Retail, Healthcare and Engineering/Technology divisions across the MENA and South East Asian regions.
Accountability
Drafting, negotiating, and/or reviewing a diverse range of commercial contracts across multiple business areas, including MOUs, joint venture agreements, distributorship/franchise/licensing agreements, procurement and supply agreements, technology agreements, and sales terms and conditions
Drafting precedent agreements
Drafting and/or reviewing policies and procedures
Assisting with acquisitions, due diligence processes and divestments
Supporting legal, finance and tax teams in company-wide special projects and initiatives
Outsourcing legal services and liaising with external counsel as required
Staying up to date with legal and industry developments and key business information and sharing knowledge within the legal team and across the business
Establishing and maintaining strong relationships within the legal team and across the business
Demonstrating a practical commercial approach
Education
The successful candidate must have appropriate legal qualifications gained in a common law country.
Minimum Experience and Knowledge
5 to 7 years of post-qualification experience, some of which should have been gained in-house with a diversified group
Fluent in English
Regional experience, though not essential, would be an advantage
Behavioral Competencies

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport at all levels of the business
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Ability to confidently deal with diverse situations, people, and requirements
