Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert legal advice to senior management and business units on corporate, commercial, regulatory, employment, and litigation matters. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts including NDAs, commercial agreements, vendor/supplier contracts, joint ventures, and M&A documentation. Advise on data protection, compliance, and governance matters. Manage and oversee external counsel on specialized matters, ensuring cost-effective and efficient legal support. Keep the organization informed of relevant legislative changes and industry standards. Support corporate governance, including board and shareholder matters, entity management, and regulatory filings. Handle dispute resolution and litigation strategies, working with internal stakeholders and external counsel as needed. Develop and implement policies and training to promote legal awareness and mitigate legal risk. Mentor junior legal team members and contribute to the development of legal best practices across the organization.

Requirements:Education & Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD), LLB, or equivalent legal degree from an accredited institution. Admitted to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction.

Experience:

Minimum 7-10 years of post-qualification legal experience, preferably including in-house counsel experience. Strong background in commercial law; experience with regulatory, data privacy, employment, and/or intellectual property law is a plus. Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, tech) preferred.

Strong business acumen and ability to balance legal risk with business objectives. High integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
