Job Description

Overseeing the accounting operations of all investments.

Distribute daily tasks and documentary information received for investment accounts to the team and give the necessary directions and instructions to prepare the required accounting entries and reports.

Auditing and approving all types of daily transactions after processing by the team members.

Communicate with the Investment Department and the evaluation department, Follow-up of External Portfolios directly or by e-mail to provide the information and financial reports required to complete the tasks and record investment operations.

Audit the monthly financial statements received from the external portfolio and reconcile it with the financial statement imported from the accounting system for example balance of the portfolio, the gain and other financial indicators, and communicate with the management of the portfolio, to adjust any incurred discrepancies.

Reviewing the financial statements received from the investment funds related to contributions and paybacks, fair value assessment, profit distribution and other financial indicators. In addition to the shareholding contracts to the new funds and offer the right guidance for the team, communicate and cooperate with the investment department in updating their financial reports.

Reviewing financial statements and reports received from contributions to the capital of private sector companies in Arab institutions, as well as refunds and dividends, evaluating the fair price and depreciation in value below the quoted cost price, and providing updated financial reports accordingly.

Reviewing the financial statements and reports received from the custodian of external portfolios, including custody fees and the proceeds of selling and lending financial bonds.

Follow-up and reconciling of basic and incentive management fees with external portfolios and approval them by the director of the department.

Auditing the returns due to the trusts of others and the private account invested with the investment assets of the fund when preparing the interim and annual financial statements and approving them by the director of the department.

Auditing of assets balance analysis and investment income and cash and the cash equivalent required in the interim and annual financial statements in addition to the financial situation report submitted to the Board of Directors and approved by the director of the departments.

Reviewing the balance of payments statistics for the interim and annual fund and submitting it to the Central Bank of Kuwait after approval.

Participate in the preparation of the interim and annual financial statements, lists and reports of the fund.

Reviewing the statements, the interim and annual financial report for the special account and the financial situation report submitted to management after being approved by the director of the administration as well as the administrative budget for the special account.

Participate in preparing the administrative budget, cash flow reports and financial items in the annual report of the Fund.

Reviewing the confirmation letters of the annual balances related to (external portfolios - investment funds - contributions to the private sector - banks) according to the procedures followed and cooperation with the external and internal auditor in providing data and analytical financial reports conferring to the specialization and within the limits of assignment to accomplish their tasks.

Providing the departments and sections of the fund with the required financial reports according to the specialization and within the limits of assignment (investment department - special account management - technical department - audit department).

Communicate with the IT department to update the accounting system according to business developments and create new financial reports that help in accomplishing tasks and issuing the funds financial statements.

Ensure compliance with the policies and procedures of the Department of Finance.

Performing the special tasks assigned to him by the heads and management for a specific purpose and within the limits of specialization.

Requirements

Master's degree in Accounting, Audit or Finance.

CPA or other professional certificates are certainly a plus.

10+ years of proven experience in the Investment Accounting field.

Experience with companies that have large investment activities.

Experience in dealing with external portfolio managers.

Strong leadership skills.

Detail oriented.

Proficiency in SAP system is a plus.

Fluent in Arabic and English. French is a plus.
