We are currently recruiting for Senior Internal Auditor to be based out of their office in Dubai.

Job purpose:

The job holder is responsible to execute strategies to sample, analyse, identify and audit underwriting, claims & support departments to reduce internal or external fraud, wastage, abuse or errors (FWAE) from clients or employees.

This job involves planning and delivering end-to-end financial and operational reviews to identify key risks and ensure that they are effectively managed. including analysing payments, underwriting & claims procedures and guidelines of coverage and interprets detailed paid claims reports, eligibility reports, payment reports, and other various reports to determine the eligible types of services and ensure the quality of assessment is as per expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the monthly performance of risk-based sampling of claims, underwriting & support departments as per audit plan and audit program and perform end to end detailed audit of claims and underwriting to identify FWAE.
• Perform detailed analytical procedures over claims payment, claims outstanding, garage payment, salvage sales, underwriting & other support departments.
• Perform further special investigations for underwriting, claims & other support department files that shows high fraud indicators when required and submit a formal report on suspicious underwriting & claims and share the findings with Management for necessary action.
• Prepare a monthly audit report summarizing the key findings and provide recommendations to the auditees to address the control failures or weaknesses and suggest process improvements.
• Prepare monthly report on whether underwriting, claims & other supporting departments comply with Money laundry requirements.
• Discuss and agree recommendations with Claims, Underwriting & other supporting teams and monitor remediation plans.
• Sample risk-based providers to audit with underwriting Claims & other supporting department team. Document findings and recommendations and agree actions with relevant team. Monitor actions and report progress to audit sub Committee.
• Maintain documented criteria for risk-based sampling and audit tools. Plan and execute monthly data analysis on claims, underwriting other supporting department\xe2\x80\x99s portfolio to identify Fraud, wastage, abuse or error trends.
• Support in providing AD HOC reports for Underwriting, Reinsurance and other teams.
• Testing underwriting claims & other supporting department processing in company systems and identify internal control weaknesses both inside and outside the systems.
• Review fleet Contracts and ensure it match with underwriting guidelines approved by company.
• Review legal cases related to recoveries to determine their authenticity and likelihood.
• Conduct monthly follow-ups with relevant departments related to recommendations highlighted in audit and special review reports.

Skills

• Proven working experience of 6-8 years as Internal Auditor or Senior Auditor.
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
• CFE, ACCA,CIA, CMA candidates preferred.
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports.
• High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
