Position Overview



The Senior Immigration Advisor is responsible for delivering expert immigration guidance and managing complex cases across European Union (EU) member states. This role ensures full compliance with EU and national regulations while providing strategic support to clients or employees relocating, transferring, or working within the EU. As a subject matter expert, the advisor ensures smooth, compliant, and efficient immigration processes.

Key Responsibilities



Immigration Consultation & Case Management



Provide expert advice on immigration regulations, work/residence permits, EU Blue Cards, and entry requirements. Manage end-to-end immigration cases for employees, clients, and corporate assignees across EU jurisdictions. Prepare and review visa and permit documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance. Liaise with government authorities, embassies, and legal bodies to support smooth processing. Stay updated with changes in EU and local immigration laws and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Compliance & Risk Management



Ensure all immigration activities comply with EU mobility frameworks and country-specific laws. Maintain accurate records of immigration files and monitor permit validity to prevent compliance issues. Advise on right-to-work checks and employee eligibility across EU member states. Support audit processes and prepare required immigration compliance reports.

Client & Stakeholder Support



Act as the primary contact for clients, HR teams, and internal departments on immigration queries. Provide timely updates on case progress, timelines, and documentation requirements. Maintain strong relationships with clients, government agencies, and external partners. Guide and mentor junior team members on best practices and immigration procedures.

Strategic & Process Improvement



Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance the client experience. Contribute to developing internal policies, knowledge resources, and compliance frameworks. Support global mobility initiatives and relocation programs involving EU countries.

Qualifications & Experience



Bachelor's degree in Law, International Relations, HR, or related field (Master's preferred). Minimum 5 years of hands-on EU immigration or global mobility experience. Strong knowledge of EU immigration legislation, Schengen rules, and cross-border mobility. Proven experience managing complex, multi-country immigration cases. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English; additional EU languages are an advantage.
