is responsible for providing expert guidance and managing complex immigration matters across European Union (EU) member states. This role ensures full compliance with EU and national immigration regulations while delivering strategic support to clients or employees relocating, transferring, or working across the EU. The advisor acts as a subject matter expert, ensuring efficient, compliant, and seamless immigration processes.
Key Responsibilities
Immigration Consultation & Case Management
Provide expert advice on immigration regulations, work and residence permits, EU Blue Cards, and other entry requirements.
Manage end-to-end immigration cases for employees, clients, or corporate assignees across EU jurisdictions.
Prepare and review documentation for visa and permit applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Liaise with government authorities, embassies, and legal bodies to facilitate smooth processing of applications.
Keep abreast of EU and local immigration law changes and proactively communicate updates to stakeholders.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure all immigration activities adhere to EU mobility frameworks and country-specific regulations.
Maintain up-to-date records of immigration files and monitor permit validity to avoid compliance breaches.
Advise on right-to-work checks and employee eligibility across EU member states.
Support audits and reporting requirements related to immigration compliance.
Client & Stakeholder Support
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, HR teams, and business units on immigration-related queries.
Deliver clear and timely communication on process status, timelines, and documentation requirements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, government agencies, and external partners.
Mentor and support junior advisors or team members on immigration processes and best practices.
Strategic & Process Improvement
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and client experience.
Contribute to the development of internal policies, knowledge bases, and immigration compliance frameworks.
Provide input on global mobility or relocation programs involving EU countries.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Law, International Relations, Human Resources, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in immigration consulting or global mobility within EU jurisdictions.
In-depth knowledge of EU immigration legislation, Schengen rules, and cross-border labor mobility.
Proven ability to manage complex, multi-country immigration cases.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in English required; proficiency in additional EU languages is an advantage.
