Senior Healthcare Compliance Specialist

Position overview:

The Senior Healthcare Compliance Specialist leads Healthcare Compliance programs for the Janssen organization in GCC (GCC Countries include UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman), responsible for:
  • Implements the Health Care Compliance (HCC) program locally under supervision of the Health Care Compliance Officer to ensure business practices and activities are in compliance with related J&J internal guidelines, local laws and regulations and anti-corruption laws including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
  • Leads and drives the Health Care Compliance (HCC) program to ensure business practices and activities are in compliance with related J&J internal guidelines, local laws and regulations and anti-corruption laws including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Serves as a strategic business partner for management and coach towards all covered employees, to assure that the company culture of compliance is a natural element in day-to-day business.
  • Creating the Annual Training Plan, developing, organizing and tracking trainings.
  • Designing and implementing the local monitoring plan and proposing updates/improvements every time a gap is detected.
  • Following up and reporting progress on Management Action Plans.
  • Being an active member of the HCC Committee and ensuring HCBI principles are respected, and quarterly meetings are set, agenda is published, and minutes are issued.
  • Being primary point of contact for Country Value Teams and reviewing their projects / activities on behalf before submission for HCC approval on events management system \xe2\x80\x9ciCONNECT\xe2\x80\x9d.
  • Working closely with cross-sector HCC colleagues to implement cross-sector projects and activities when applicable.
  • Working closely with business sponsors to ensure Third Party Intermediaries\' Inventory is kept current, Due Diligence (Mid-term Certification and Full) processes are completed correctly and timely.
  • Working with EMEA teams to improve and harmonize processes (ESO, Work Groups etc.).
Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and facilitate the Grant committee of GCC.
  • Participate in Pharma association meeting when needed on behalf of HCCO.
  • Perform monitoring activities as per the plan for the year (Qliksense, Onsite monitoring, Adhoc monitoring, routine monitoring).
  • Support Auditors/Testers/CIA when needed for FCPA audits on TPI\'s, Travel agency or OpCo audits. Assisting in coordinating preparations for Corporate Internal Audits. Assisting in Process Key Controls Check \xe2\x80\x9cPKCC\xe2\x80\x9d and ensuring gaps identified are communicated effectively and addressed within Management Action Plan.
  • Assist in adapting / adopting global strategies into local strategic priorities based on appropriate local needs, while considering local external regulatory changes.
  • Support the preparation of Management Action Plan and entry into High-Bond.
  • Track MAP progress and update High-Bond.
  • Prepare Annual Training Plan. Ensure the maintenance of employee certification and training attendance records.
  • Contribute to updating and implementation of all HCC written policies and procedures on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure all information platforms of HCC are up-to-date. (Cross Boarder Interaction Tool, Intranet, etc.)
  • Support the training, and regular communications of HCC updates to all covered employees, including but not limited local sales, marketing, medical, market access, finance, HR, managers, supply chain and directors at the local level.
  • Conduct monitoring activities on quarterly basis (PKCC, CONCUR expenses) and support reporting to LT and Healthcare Compliance Committee.
  • In a timely and prompt manner, identify, report and seek correction for deviations noted in my workplace.
  • To effectively and compliantly assist with the management of Prof Ed events from end to end. To ensure correct process is followed when setting up Prof Ed events in the JJI (both pre-during and post event), correct process is followed with sample management for Prof Ed events, correct process is followed loan set equipment, assist the Prof Ed Associate, where required, with gathering the relevant documentation for loading and reconciliation of Prof Ed events in HCCLife.
  • Responsible for the loading of new vendors in Cornerstone as well as the payment process for Prof Ed events in E-marketplace.
  • Attend assigned CVT meetings, follow major projects / programs, ensure HCC involvement and review of projects / programs.
  • Conduct HCC related trainings for external parties.
  • Assist in the annual HCC risk assessment including the follow up on implementation of risk remediation plans.
  • Work closely with the HCC Manager on quarterly basis on developing the Quarterly Risk Remediation Report.
  • Adhoc support to HCC Officer GCC Pharm from time to time on other tasks/projects when needed.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS, advanced degree or equivalent preferred, min. 3 years\' experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry, and preferably in a Healthcare Compliance function. Ability to make things happen through managing a broad set of Credo based values. Understands the J&J Credo based culture.
  • Background may include Compliance, Finance, Sales and Marketing, Medical Affairs, Legal, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory or Auditing.
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry in functions such as Healthcare Compliance, Internal Control, Audit, Regulatory Affairs or Finance.
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations and industry standards for Middle East a benefit.
  • Language skills: English (good written and spoken command) a must; Arabic (not essential but an advantage).
  • Deals well with ambiguity and demonstrates strong organizational, process and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lead conflicts in an open and constructive manner.
  • Agile and able to work with flexibility between functions and across all levels of the business.
  • Must be able to work independently and effectively also under time pressure.
  • Consistent record in delivering results, and ability to lead complexity is a must.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Problem solving mindset with strategic and proactive approach.
