What You'll Do
Governance in Insurance Operations

• Develop and maintain governance frameworks for insurance operations across the UAE and international branches.
• Ensure compliance with all UAE insurance regulations and maintain alignment with CBUAE, SCA, DoH, and DHA requirements.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align governance with strategic insurance business objectives.
• Oversee governance systems for branches and subsidiaries outside the UAE, ensuring compliance with local insurance laws.

Risk Management in Insurance Services

• Identify and manage risks in insurance business areas including financial, operational, regulatory, and reputational.
• Implement enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks specific to insurance operations.
• Monitor new risks in the UAE insurance and healthcare markets, providing mitigation strategies.
• Lead risk assessments across insurance branches to ensure consistent reporting and accountability.

Insurance Compliance

• Ensure compliance with UAE insurance laws, healthcare regulations, and AML requirements.
• Lead compliance audits, inspections, and regulatory inquiries within the insurance sector.
• Deliver compliance training for employees in insurance operations.
• Act as the main contact for UAE insurance regulators during audits and investigations.
• Oversee compliance across international insurance subsidiaries.

Ideal Profile

• 8-10 years of governance, risk, and compliance experience in the UAE insurance industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Risk, or related field (Master's or certifications in AML, Risk, or Governance preferred).
• Proven knowledge of UAE insurance regulations, governance, and risk frameworks.
• Experience handling GRC functions across international insurance branches.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
