. The ideal candidate will have
10+ years of hands-on experience
working with geospatial technologies, CAD drafting, utility network modeling, and infrastructure projects. This role involves leading the integration of GIS/CAD platforms for utility data, managing large spatial databases, and delivering accurate maps and technical drawings to support planning, engineering, and asset management activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the
design, mapping, and analysis of underground utility networks
(e.g., water, sewage, electricity, telecom, gas).
Develop and maintain
GIS databases and CAD drawings
with precise geospatial accuracy.
Perform
data conversion, quality control, and validation
of utility datasets from multiple sources (surveys, legacy systems, LiDAR, etc.).
Collaborate with utility engineers, surveyors, planners, and municipal authorities to ensure seamless data integration.
Conduct
spatial analysis and geoprocessing
for impact studies, trenchless technology planning, and utility conflict detection.
Create
detailed engineering drawings and as-built documentation
using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation.
Develop
custom GIS models, dashboards, and workflows
for decision support using ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.
Ensure compliance with
local, national, and international standards
for utility data accuracy, metadata, and symbology.
Provide mentorship and technical oversight to junior GIS/CAD staff.
Support the implementation of
GIS web apps, mobile field data collection, and BIM-GIS integration
