- Responsibility for the engineering of projects from concept and schematic design through construction- this includes project reviews at all stages of design
- Preparing structural layouts, calculations, and reports
- Participate as a team member, contributing ideas and solutions, leading on issues where appropriate
- Perform site visit surveys, as needed, to document and evaluate existing structures and determine engineering strategies
- Visit project sites during construction, as needed, for review of the quality, progress, and compliance with specifications and standards
- Review of approval and manufacturing drawing packages
- Development of typical details, specifications, and drawings
- Keeping abreast of industry and technology advances and trends; recommending changes in approach and services as appropriate
- Continuous improvement of structural engineering design processes and manufacturing practices
- Proven ability to work creatively to reach solutions to complex problems
- Track record of mentoring junior engineers
- Ability to understand multi-disciplinary coordination issues
- Strong project management skills
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with an understanding of industrial communication protocols
- Ability to set, monitor, and deliver on budgets

- Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural, Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years experience in the areas of façade and structural engineering design field
- Proficient in English Communication; French or Dutch is a plus;
- Sound knowledge of façade systems, design, relevant codes, and standards;
- Proficient in relevant façade & structural finite element software
