Role Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and digitally savvy
Accountant
to manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and support business growth with timely insights and compliance. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, tech-enabled environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate books of accounts including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger management
Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (e.g., VAT filings) and support audits
Work closely with internal departments (e.g., Procurement, Tech, HR) to align financial practices
Monitor and reconcile digital payments, e-commerce transactions, and loyalty program accounting
Assist in implementing automation initiatives within the finance function
Manage vendor reconciliations, employee reimbursements, and petty cash processes
Continuously evaluate and improve finance processes for efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA Inter/ACCA/CMA preferred)
3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in digital, retail, or tech-driven environments
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar ERP)
Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with automation tools (Power BI, Power Query, etc.) is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setup
