Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Estimator with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.
Responsibilities
To undertake all Cost Estimating activities in accordance with the Company\xe2\x80\x99s Estimating policies and procedures
Deliver the best combination of product quality, price and delivery to our Client
To ensure all activities are documented, processed and filed to achieve maximum auditable transparency
To liaise with all necessary disciplines in order to support the Regional Tendering and Proposals Manager in the preparation of estimates for Engineering, EPMC and PMC scopes.
To ensure the Estimating activities and deliverables are undertaken in accordance with agreed invitation to tender documents.
Coordinate with the Procurement team to obtain prices for major / bulk materials in order to facilitate the production of estimates
To maintain a high level of service in compliance with Company procedures
Prepare all types of Cost Estimates in accordance with Estimating and Tender Governance procedures.
Coordinate with Lead Engineers / Procurement Engineers in order to expedite provision of Estimating input data such as discipline estimates and procurement / subcontracting quotes where applicable
Perform a discipline check for Estimates prepared by others.
Participate in Tender meetings as necessary.
Deliver estimates under the correct schedules.
Archive the Estimating files including revisions within the correct server files.
Maintain confidentiality surrounding estimates.
Skills / Qualifications
Engineering Degree and / or Certification as a Estimator or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 - 10 years working experience as an estimator within Oil and Gas engineering and contract services
A working knowledge of Aspentech ACCE estimating software, along with other Oil and Gas standard estimating software and tools would be helpful
Able to plan, prepare, coordinate and consolidate all estimating activities
An appreciation of engineering techniques and their suitability in the delivery environment
A practical knowledge of safe methods of working
Highly motivated, well organized, resourceful and pro - active
Possess good interpersonal skills with sound written and oral communication skills
Flexible approach and able to work under pressure with a can - do attitude and a desire to win
Able to promote an open and informal communication environment that aims at growing mutual trust and teamwork
