The Project Senior Estimator\'s key role will be to manage costs and budgets of the construction projects, which includes new builds, renovations and maintenance works, from early cost advice to settlement of the final account.

The responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering the organisation\'s objectives. Proactively engaging with Customers and developing, growing and maintaining Customer relationships. Delivering high quality services to Customers whilst ensuring that cost management deliverables meet their specifications. Managing projects to deliver high quality services and deliverables in accordance with the business procedures. Preparing and presenting cost estimates order and option studies. Performing cost planning and cost-in-use studies.

Advising on and implementing procurement strategies. Preparing tender documentation and managing the tender process, including designing tender marking schemes. Evaluating and reporting on tenders. Valuing completed work and arranging for payments. Settling final accounts. Providing technical advice on legal and contractual issues relating to construction projects. Administrating contracts as Contract Administrator.

Producing and presenting reports to Customers. Mentoring and coaching employees to their full potential. Identifying new business development opportunities and driving growth across the Business Units activities. Preparing bids for services. Managing service delivery for profit. Advising Directors of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects, especially ones that might affect the company\'s professional indemnity (PI) insurance.

Education and Experience

To be considered for the role, candidates need to have MRICS qualification paired with sound cost management experience post the MRICS qualification. Must have at least 10 years\' experience in the same field. Should have extensive experience in Saudi Arabia, preferably with contractor background or experience. Must be knowledgeable and experienced in cost estimating and planning.

Knowledge of construction methods and materials will be vital. Practical knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies. Needs to have sound knowledge and experience of post-contract cost management activities.

Excellent spoken and written communication skills will be essential to have for this role. Must have a methodical way of thinking and approach to work. Must have outstanding organisational skills and ability to adapt quickly to changing environments. Excellent problem, negotiating, finance and numeracy management skills. The ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements. Must have a clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts. Must be proficient in MS applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
