Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical authority and reference point for all environmental-related matters across operations and projects
  • Verify compliance of company activities, including chemical usage, emissions, waste, and effluent management, with UAE laws, international standards, and ADNOC Codes of Practice
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve environmental standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Maintain and enhance ADNOC Environmental Management System in alignment with ISO 14001 requirements
  • Design, coordinate, and supervise Environmental Baseline Studies and Environmental Impact Assessments for facilities and new projects
  • Review operational practices, identify environmental improvement actions, and ensure timely implementation
  • Develop environmental performance indicators and pollution control measures for sustainable operations
  • Prepare, monitor, and analyze environmental KPIs related to emissions, waste management, and resource efficiency
  • Lead or support environmental audits, inspections, and internal training programs
  • Ensure full compliance with ADNOC HSE Management System and UAE regulatory frameworks
  • Provide expert environmental advice to HSE Management, Business Units, and Project Teams throughout project lifecycles
  • Promote environmental awareness and best practices across ADNOC Group operations
  • Prepare detailed reports on environmental performance, emissions inventories, waste projections, and sustainability initiatives
  • Support budget preparation and planning activities for the Environment function
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental management within oil and gas or heavy industrial environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with environmental compliance, impact assessments, and management systems
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE environmental regulations, international standards, and ADNOC Codes of Practice
Skills Set
  • ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification preferred
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and complex project environments
