JOB TITLE: SENIOR ENGINEER - PROCESS

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Review of the ITB (Invitation to Bid) documents submitted in the proposals stage, provide process input to other disciplines, review techno-commercial vendor offers.

Participate in the preparation of the Technical Document Register (TDR) for process activities, for all process deliverables. Identify and resolve discrepancies and divergences from original proposal through the instigation of technical queries to projects/client.

Identify the scope of work requirements, budgeted man hours, budgeted quantities, total number of deliverables, format of delivery, time schedules and other specifications for execution of the work. Recommend cost effective measures to reduce the overall project costs, ensuring technical and safety compliance.

Supervise the verification of design integrity. Use Process Simulation software such as HYSYS and PIPESIM to ensure project specification details in the FEED Packages are feasible. Interpret and evaluate reports from process engineering software. Evaluate and compare the various Feed package documents and Data Sheets using scope of supply analysis and heat-and-mass balance calculations. Identify discrepancies and inconsistencies take corrective action where required.

Apportion work among engineering staff according to specialized training. Supervise the preparation of equipment diagram analysis and compatibility studies including the preparation of equipment lists, line diagrams, data sheets, utilities summaries, metallurgy diagrams, pressure-temperature diagrams, and hydraulic calculations

Lead the preparation of design and equipment calculations and diagrams for identification and verification of equipment parameters including calculations for valve sizes, pumps, vessels, exchangers, columns, safety valves, control valves, shutdown valves, line sizing, logic diagrams, adequacy checks, Relief and Blow down, sizing calculations, cause-and-effect charts, Heat and Mass balance calculations and shutdown logic for completion of P&ID\xe2\x80\x99s, PFD\xe2\x80\x99s and PDS sheets, provide input to the various downstream engineering disciplines for document preparation to vendors for Bid invitations.

Direct the preparation of equipment lists for downstream engineering disciplines. Ensure equipment compatibility and conformance with client specifications. Recommend cost effective improvements in design layouts and/or equipment specifications within the scope of client specifications and requirements.

Interface and regularly meet with client and vendor representatives, conduct internal staff meetings, ensure the progress of project in accordance with schedule, allotted man hours and budgeted costs.

Participate in HAZOP meeting with the client and representatives of the other engineering disciplines.

Interface and provide clarification and guidance and technical support to construction sites and commissioning engineers providing startup assistance as required.

Skills & Experience:

Supervise a team of engineers and designers in carrying out detailed engineering works and provide necessary technical information for costing/procurement in compliance with tender specifications/guidelines, quality requirements and within budgeted man-hour and project schedules.

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of related petrochemical experience preferable from a background in working for consultancy organizations in the EPC of the Oil and Gas Industry.

Knowledge, understanding and application of the requirements for Site installation and commissioning and plant operation.

Responsible for vendor packages like compressors, dehydration, sweetening, etc., ensuring package meets technical specifications. Also, responsible for issuing the inquiry and procurement of chemicals/catalysts/inert balls etc.

Perform and review a variety of discipline specific calculations and generate relevant process datasheets/ specifications / summaries.

Knowledge of applicable engineering software\'s.
