Job Summary

Direct, supervises and controls the activities of Assigned Process Engineers within the functional discipline of Process Engineering (Process Specialities) to serve as the centralized source of expertise while ensuring compliance with Company strategies commitments and goals. Provide complete range of Technical Support to Operations through Process Specialities discipline expertise, fully dedicated in line with the Technical Authority system. This is to ensure agility in Technical decisions, Quality assurance and seamless follow-up of all Technical requirements for continued, sustained, efficient and safe operations of ADNOC Refining Facilities while ensuring 100% HSE Compliance. Ensure Continuous Improvement and Profitability growth of ADNOC Refining assets by initiating and championing operational initiatives, supporting Asset Development on Long Term perspective and driving applications of new Process Technology in close coordination with AR Research Centre. Coordinating with other functions, providing high-level technical guidance to Process Engineers, delegate jobs to Engineers based on their functional expertise and skills, lead in technical investigations and studies. Act as interface with external agencies viz. OEM, Vendors, Licensors to resolve issues escalated from Process Engineers. Ensure company technical, HSE and other relevant standards are followed in Projects/Studies. Specific Refinery Process Units Experience: Coke Calcinations Unit, Carbon Black Unit, Hydrogen Manufacturing Unit etc.

Key Accountabilities

Job Specific Accountabilities - Performs supervisory functions and exercises functional/authority at Sr. Process Engineer(TA3) level as established by the Technical Authority Framework - Plans, manages and controls all the Team functions and assigned units' operations in coordination with other support functions, utilizing technical, managerial and problem solving skills along with specialized engineering knowledge and operational experience. - Ensures technical support for assigned units and maintain maximum unit production, plant utilization and the production of quality products as per Company specifications while ensuring Profitability and 100 % HSE. - Directs and guides implementation of new techniques, methods, processes and products to improve productivity, reliability and overall safety of the facilities. Define resource needs, gaps and training needs to deploy, operate and maintain such new technologies - Participates in audits and benchmarking studies to improve competitiveness and profitability of the assigned units as and when required. Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability - Support implementation of 100% HSE culture and comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC HSE Standards

Min Qualification

Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum Experience / Knowledge & Skills

- 8 years of Process Engineering experience in Process units of Refineries as listed above. High level of relevant technical knowledge and application. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Data analysis and report writing skills, sound problem solving and decision-making skills.

Job Purpose

Direct, supervises and Coordinates all the activities of engineers within the functional discipline of Process Engineering and provide technical advice to operations on all relevant process engineering aspects. Designs integrity and timeliness of work for technical studies.

Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)

. Prepares progress and performance analysis reports, highlights the problematic areas and recommends appropriate actions. . Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with set policy and procedures and the regulatory standards are met. . To reach and maintain ISO certification for Process section . Review all engineering deliverables prepared by EPC contractor in respect to process and controls. . Review of all systems and equipment design, to insure easy & safe operations. . Provide on-site process engineering consultation during construction, pre-commissioning & commissioning stage of projects . Act as Technical Authority for process discipline engineering in the Company. Provides mediation in the event of technical dispute between conflicting parties. . Provides Process Engineering expertise for the development and authorization of Key Documents (Philosophies, Policies, Design Basis) for all project works covering Assets, Major Projects, Brownfield Projects and New field projects to ensure consistency and efficacy. . Support, develops and reviews the Process engineering standards, codes of practice and technical specifications to ensure that they are in line with prevailing legislation, current best practice and reflect lessons learnt from past activities. . Identifies, investigates and recommends appropriate new technical innovations, developments and enhancements to improve delivery of business goals. . Ensures Process Engineering representation and expertise is available for necessary support of HSE driven studies and workshops.

Reports . Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Management.
