Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Engineer - Civil Structures (Utilities) to join our team! In this role you will get to shape delivery of a wide variety of public and private projects across Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
What You'll Be Doing:
Design Leadership: Lead structural design team in delivery of all utility buildings/structures for development of infrastructure.
Regulatory Expertise: Ensure that all structural designs adhere to local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards, with excellent knowledge of Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, DEWA, design codes.
Project Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams, ensuring seamless integration of design intent with technical specifications and practical implementation on-site.
Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous reviews of structural documentation, ensuring compliance with quality standards while identifying any issues or risks that could impact project delivery.
Mentorship and Development: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
Industry Insight: Remain informed on the latest trends in structural design, sustainability, and construction technologies, integrating best practices and innovative solutions into project execution.
BIM Proficiency: Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodologies and Revit software to enhance design accuracy and coordination among project stakeholders.
Coordination: Coordination of all sub-consultant packages and other disciplines within the organization
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
Experience: A minimum of 8 to 10 years of civil/structural design experience.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership capabilities with a demonstrated ability to manage and inspire design teams while effectively coordinating various stakeholder interests.
Technical Proficiency: Expertise in structural design software including AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, ACC or similar applications and familiarity with BIM practices. Comprehensive knowledge of applicable Structural Design codes pertaining to civil structures.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to overcoming design challenges and implementing effective solutions.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, coupled with a commitment to delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience: previous experience working in Dubai or elsewhere in the UAE is highly desirable.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with the Dubai Building Code and other local standards (Dubai Municipality, RTA, Civil Defense, DEWA)
Communication Skills: proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
