Job Title Senior Emergency Preparedness

Description



Develop, implement and monitor the Barakah EP Program (both Offsite and Onsite) and associated implementing procedures. Coordinate and maintain the Barakah Emergency Response Facilities and the associated equipment. Perform and support activities associated with drill and exercise planning, and development, coordination, conducting, and evaluating EP drills and exercises.

Drills and Exercises

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Participate in activities associated with the planning, coordination, conduct, and evaluation of the onsite components of emergency preparedness drills and exercises, including setting goals and objectives, establishing extent-of-play guidelines, and scenario development, to enhance drill and exercise effectiveness.
  • Support preparation of drill and exercise reports, including those that involve the Offsite Emergency Response Organization (ERO) to ensure information is accurately captured and distributed.
  • File drill and exercise findings and opportunities for improvement into a formal corrective action program, in order to track those items to completion.
Emergency Response Systems, and Facilities and Equipment

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Direct the monitoring, maintenance, and procurement activities as required to assure the availability of emergency response facilities, equipment and communications systems.
  • Verify availability of emergency response emergency facilities and systems to support Drill and Exercise activities as well as real events.
  • Verify that designs and construction activities are carried out in accordance with Emergency Preparedness needs during operation (complying with regulations and set plans and procedures) to ensure operational readiness.
  • Verify all equipment and facilities important to Emergency Preparedness is tested, maintained, inventoried and calibrated to ensure alignment with established plans, procedures or manufacturer instructions.
  • Verify that findings from surveillances, tests and maintenance activities are appropriately documented and all findings as well as opportunities for improvement are entered into a formal corrective action program, in order to track those items to completion.
  • Work with Procurement to address needs of EP program with regards to equipment and facilities.
  • Conduct periodic testing of equipment to ensure alignment with FANR Regulations and as per relevant procedures,
  • Lead activities associated with the Emergency Center, equipment, and communications systems to ensure availability of resources for both internal and external stakeholders.
Plans and Procedures

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Develop Emergency Preparedness Program and associated implementing procedures to establish standards for best practices across the organization.
  • Review and recommend for approval new or revised Emergency Preparedness Program-related documentation, including Plans and Procedures to ensure all documents meet regulatory requirements.
  • Follow the Nawah procedure creation and change process to ensure nuclear industry best practices and standards are followed.
Emergency Preparedness Training and Qualifications

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Provide input to the development/revision and delivery of the Emergency Preparedness training, and drill/exercise observer briefings, as appropriate to ensure effective training.
  • Participate in training to attain and maintain proficiency in drill/exercise scenario development and other emergency preparedness-related activities, as appropriate.
  • Keeps current with emergency preparedness-related best practices and updates colleagues, as appropriate to diffuse knowledge throughout the organization.
  • Execute all required initial and refresher training courses and requirements in order to attain and maintain the required qualifications and certifications in areas of specialization.
EP - Related Public Information

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Manage the activities associated with the emergency preparedness public education program-related activities to assure alignment with the emergency preparedness program's goals and objectives or as stipulated by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, Ministry of Interior, or Gulf Cooperation Council
Administration

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Review required progress reports to management and support the formal presentation of program-related progress reports, as required to facilitate proper documentation.
  • File the information required to develop progress reports to management, prepare the reports, and prepare the associated presentation materials, as appropriate.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Follow all relevant company's Health and Safety policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure compliance in all aspects of work as per sound management practices. Apply these policies and procedures to self and others to ensure reasonable care of the health and safety of the employee; the environment; and various individuals who may be affected by the employee's acts or omissions at work.
  • Follow all relevant Security policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure security compliance in all aspects of work, by applying them on self, others and Corporate assets.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate requirements for adherence to policies, procedures and instructions related to Crisis Management and Business Continuity in order to continue mission critical activities.
Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science in Engineering.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
