Job Summary

Metric Technologies is seeking a skilled and motivated ELV Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest quality standards and within the specified timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering:

Develop ELV system designs and layouts based on project specifications. Prepare technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.

Project Management:

Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of ELV systems such as CCTV, access control, structured cabling, AV systems, etc. Coordinate with project stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and clients, to ensure smooth execution.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to ELV systems. Conduct routine maintenance and ensure optimal system performance.

Compliance & Standards:

Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations. Prepare and submit required documentation for inspections and approvals.

Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with internal teams, including design, procurement, and operations, to align project goals. Provide technical support and training to team members and end-users.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ELV systems design, installation, and commissioning. Proven experience in home automation, AV systems, or similar technologies is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software. Strong knowledge of ELV systems, protocols, and standards.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications (Sira, MCC, Milestone) are preferred.
