Our Building Services team are currently seeking a Senior ELV Engineer - Design to join our team. In this role, you will lead the design of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems for large-scale commercial and industrial projects, ensuring efficient and innovative solutions that meet client needs and comply with local regulations.
Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive ELV system designs, including fire alarm, security, and communication systems
• Create detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ELV systems with building management systems (BMS)
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather project requirements and constraints
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, standards, and industry best practices
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and budget requirements
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to address design-related inquiries and issues
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in ELV systems to drive innovation in design solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 6 years of experience in ELV system design for large-scale building projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
• Strong knowledge of building management systems (BMS), fire alarm, security, and communication systems
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Abu Dhabi and the UAE
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
• In-depth understanding of industry standards and best practices for ELV design and implementation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and mentor junior engineers
