Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee high-voltage electrical assets including switchgear, transformers, synchronous machines, HV motors, protection systems, UPS systems, and variable speed systems.
• Execute preventive and breakdown maintenance to ensure high reliability and uptime.
• Conduct life assessment tests, obsolescence studies, and upgrade plans for critical electrical assets.
• Support smooth integration of new facilities through modifications and system upgrades.
• Carry out short-circuit studies, load flow studies, protection coordination, and sizing calculations.
• Prepare and review specifications for switchgear, transformers, VFDs, Ex-equipment, UPS systems, and electrical control systems.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards such as API, ANSI, NEMA, NFPA, NEC/IEC.
• Resolve complex electrical engineering and maintenance issues related to HV installations, protection systems, variable speed drives, UPS systems, and power control automation.
• Implement monitoring and predictive maintenance programs across key electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety requirements, HSE procedures, and safe work practices.
• Coordinate planning, scheduling, and execution of electrical work across multidisciplinary teams.

Ideal Profile

• Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering and maintenance experience in a large industrial organization, preferably in oil and gas.
• Experience as Senior Engineer or higher across HV installations, protection systems, VFDs, UPS, and automation systems.
• Strong understanding of predictive maintenance and electrical monitoring techniques.
• Skilled in conducting electrical system studies including short-circuit, load flow, and protection coordination.
• Strong knowledge of oil and gas electrical standards and compliance requirements.
• Solid planning, organizing, scheduling, and cross-discipline coordination abilities.
