We are now looking for Senior Design Engineer - Process to execute projects and support bids in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Reports To Senior Design Engineer - Process reports to Head of Discipline \xe2\x80\x93 Process Job Overview The Senior Design Engineer - Process is responsible for independently handling various Select, Define and Execute projects. These projects by nature of their complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in oil & gas. The Lead Engineer should have gained proven experience in design and engineering right from planning stage till execution which includes FEED verification, planning of MH & MP, resource management, lead the development of key deliverables, conducting various stage design reviews, progress monitoring and control. In your role you are expected to demonstrate your proven track record in maintaining proper resourcing in terms of capacity and competence as well as in well organizing projects with proper work sharing, tracking of progress & coordination with Inter disciplines and counter parts/client. You will be responsible for leading projects (as Lead Engineer) as and when required, handling engineering design review and analysis assignments normally involving a major project or several smaller or less complex projects. You should have a desire to work on multi-disciplinary local as well overseas projects and be able to drive discipline goals by leading assigned discipline designers and engineers. • • Direct the employees and supervision of work related to Process and associated works.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers for resolution of related issues.
  • Maintain the Line Managers daily diary and reports of team members.
  • Coordinate and report to the reporting authority / manager on specific subjects including resourcing, technical issues, project progress, efficiency and performance of the resources / discipline.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality and technical correctness of all Process Engineering deliverables.
  • Coordinate with client, sub-contractors and related concerned authorities.
  • Convene and chair regular team meetings about issues related to Process work and related activities.
  • Ensure prompt exchange of correspondence and approvals.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Prepare progress reports as applicable.
  • Participate in estimation for sales enquiries and provide required support for bidding
  • Perform conceptual, FEED, and detailed analyses and design as per design basis, project specifications, design codes and standards.
  • Manage own time to meet objectives, forecast and plan resource requirements.
  • Develop creative and innovative solutions that are reliable and cost-effective for problems and challenges when they arise.
  • Apply expertise to the most complex problems.
  • Develop and manage plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Direct Process Engineering team as a Lead Engineer.
  • Lead the Discipline engineering design of the assigned work area and complete within planned schedule and budget, in accordance with standards, MDR and project-specific procedures
  • Plan, organize and direct all aspects of Discipline execution on the assigned project including scope, deliverables, schedule and all manpower resources - agree allocations with the Discipline Manager.
  • Ensure interfaces and deliverables are clearly identified.
  • Maintain responsibility for progress and productivity, identifying any required corrective action.
  • Supporting and producing technical and techno-economic studies

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals and value engineering approach in carryout Concept, FEED and Detail engineering projects with more than 18 years of relevant experience
  • Degree in Chemical engineering
  • Ability to lead team for challenging projects
  • Well versed with HYSYS and other process software
  • Equipment sizing for oil and gas facility
  • Proficiency in PFD / P & ID
  • Process hydraulic calculations
  • Relief valve and flare header sizing
  • Participation in HAZOP/SIL studies
  • Strong analytical approach
  • Good knowledge of international code and standard, good engineering practice followed for oil and gas facilities.
  • Demonstrate, provide and develop appropriate technical solutions for specific project issues
  • Possess sound technical knowledge and decision-making skills to deliver challenging projects
  • Self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer focus and ability to respond to customer needs whilst achieving project and company objectives
  • Having Gas processing, gas treatment, refinery, offshore, onshore experience
  • Experience of brownfield modifications
  • Good cross functional knowledge.
