Our client, a prestigious government entity in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to lead AI model development, research, and strategy. This role will set AI standards internally and provide advisory support to government entities, ensuring ethical, scalable, and impactful AI solutions
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize AI/ML models for various applications (NLP, computer vision, predictive analytics)
- Ensure high-quality data preprocessing, feature engineering, and pipeline efficiency
- Leadership & Collaboration - Mentor junior team members and collaborate across departments to align AI initiatives with business goals
- Project Management - Lead AI projects from ideation to deployment, managing risks, resources, and stakeholder expectations
- AI Governance & Ethics - Ensure AI solutions adhere to ethical, transparent, and regulatory standards
- Optimization & Deployment - Monitor model performance, optimize algorithms, and manage deployment in cloud or on-prem environments
Requirements:
- Experience: 9+ years in AI, ML, or data science roles
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, R, or Java; expertise in TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and optimization
- Big Data & Engineering: Experience with Hadoop, Spark, SQL, and scalable ML model deployment
- Leadership & Communication: Ability to guide teams and explain AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders
