Founded in 2009, and acquired by NOMAC in 2018, NOMAC Maintenance Energy Services (NMES) is the leading regional non-OEM-affiliated service provider for the middle east region in terms of long-term contracted market share. Currently holding a portfolio of more than 14 Gigawatt of installed Power under LTSA, and with 12 Gigawatt more under development, NMES currently performs all required outage services (minor, medium, major, CI, HGPI, MI) on 25 Gas Turbines, 26 Steam turbines and 51 Generators. NMES supports its end-users by providing OEM level quality services and exceptional value creation through highly skilled and trained outage personnel (outage managers, Field Service Engineers, Technicians, specialists) and by applying innovative, downtime reducing services such as Spark erosion technology, On-site machining solutions for ST and GT casings, bearing pedestals, burner inserts, tip grinding, On Site Rotor Machining and Low speed Balancing, On site blasting, coating and curing of Compressor parts (blades/Vanes) with Aluminum Chromate coatings. Re-engineering services and pump spare manufacturing. NMES has established full-service subsidiaries in KSA, Oman and UAE and maintains a continuous presence of personnel and equipment in over 10 countries, with full-service workshops in the United Arab Emirates and Oman, and an additional facility under development in KSA to assure service readiness everywhere we do business. NMES is looking for a Senior Commercial Manager to support NMES’ global business development, solicit valuable RFQ’s from a worldwide customer base, prepare winning deals, and develop customer relationships that will result in delivering growth across the globe. Key Role Accountabilities
  • Partnering closely with Operations and other Field Services teams, to estimate the resources required for completing the scope of work of a tender.
  • Work closely with Estimation team and Commercial and Contracts Director to draft comprehensive and winning quotes.
  • Ensure timely submissions through various forms and channels of bidding.
  • Lead global deal negotiations for all aspects of contracts, including pricing, payment, and other commercial terms and conditions
  • Deliver revenue growth and profits through timely and compliant delivery of requests for proposals, sales proposals, and contracts
  • Develop and execute business development initiatives that align with regional and global business plans
  • Balance the overall business and risk factors around deals to ensure growth while managing the risk/ reward profile
  • Challenge and construct financial models that are accurate and relevant for deals and for NMES
  • Partner with regional leadership and NOMAC/ACWA Power Business development teams in identifying new opportunities and creating sales analysis.
  • Present recommendations on high-risk projects to senior management for approval prior to tender submission
  • Coordinate with Legal, Finance, HR, and Operations departments to address customer driven exceptions for contracts.
  • Support timely, accurate, and compliant implementation and administration of contracts
  • Conduct financial, marketing, and operational analyses of contracts and pricing related to performance
  • Institutionalize contractual processes within the assigned region
  • Ensure that standard company procedures are followed in contracting practices
  • Track and provide report out on specific business metrics established by management
  • Manage databases of all tender documents, contracts, and any other documents for efficient functioning of the department.
  • Coordinate and prepare client/prospect

Skills

  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in English is a must. Arabic is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, and as a team leader, with minimal supervision; Self-directed, proactive, motivated, enjoy a changing environment and have a positive, entrepreneurial attitude.
  • Ability to structure, recruit, lead and mentor/manage a team of highly capable and driven salespeople
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is required or equivalent by experience.
Experience
  • 10+ years of commercial, business development, sales and other related experience in the field of OEM, OOEM or Non-OEM service providers in the Utility/Industrial/O&G rotating equipment field
  • Extensive leadership experience
  • Extensive experience of commercial contract drafting & Supplier negotiation.
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of long-term service agreements (LTSA) is absolutely required
  • Sound knowledge of power plant equipment's - gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, auxiliaries, and balance of plant etc.
  • Knowledge of commercial and supplier contract terms and conditions
  • Thorough understanding of the business value chain
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standard forms of contracting procedures in Power and Water generation in private sector.
