Department: Research & Development (R&D) / Quality Control (QC) Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Chemist with a strong background in spectroscopy techniques to join our R&D team. The successful candidate will play a key role in formulating new products by utilizing various spectroscopic methods. Responsibilities:
- Conduct and interpret various spectroscopic analyses using techniques such as:
- Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectroscopy (e.g., \xc2\xb9H NMR, \xc2\xb9\xc2\xb3C NMR)
- Fourier-Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy
- Ultraviolet-Visible (UV-Vis) Spectroscopy
- Raman Spectroscopy
- Analyze and interpret spectral data to identify and characterize materials, monitor reaction progress, and ensure product quality.
- Prepare samples for spectroscopic analysis following established protocols.
- Maintain and troubleshoot spectroscopy equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and document new analytical methods using spectroscopic techniques.
- Participate in research and development projects as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with other scientists and engineers to achieve project goals.
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory notebooks.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field (M.Sc. may be considered for highly qualified candidates with extensive experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a laboratory setting using various spectroscopic techniques.
- Strong knowledge of theoretical principles and applications of spectroscopy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately and independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in scientific software for data analysis (e.g., MestReNova, Origin) is a plus.
