Job Description

To ensure that systems are supporting business initiatives by defining functional requirements ensuring such changes are documented, reviewed, and signed off effectively and the software is testing and certified for project implementation.
a) continue to carry out market research, attending airline domain and relevant conferences / forums to increase awareness in the airline domain and proactively propose recommendations.
b) support and deliver on initiatives from the business plan and technology strategy leveraging re-use, eliminating duplicate components, architectural design and use of innovative products.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Key Activities
  • Leads business departments through gap analysis of \xe2\x80\x9cas is\xe2\x80\x9d and \xe2\x80\x9cto be\xe2\x80\x9d business processes and carries out business systems requirements through the analysis, specification, and verification of multiple levels of requirements from an end-to-end perspective.
  • Documents business objectives, functional requirements, business processes and data models thereby ensuring that business requirements are comprehensively and completely captured.
  • Prepares use cases, process models and supporting business rules and traceability matrix for system programs thereby ensuring that the functional solution design can meet the documented requirements.
  • Coordinates requirement walk-through and signoffs with stakeholders to ensure that documentation accurately portrays business needs, and all functional artefacts are signed off by the required business and project stakeholders.
  • Develops the logical/functional systems design (detailing business information flow/process) for business solution agreed. This includes detailed entity relationship modelling, function hierarchy diagramming, process modelling, function to entity mapping.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for business systems and assists the end-user community in using and utilising the systems efficiently and use operational and applications expertise to recommend initiatives to improve the overall user experience.
  • Defines and co-ordinate the creation of test cases, set-up and communication between the application/product and the partner\'s system to support the testing of application functionality and linked systems. Manages the user acceptance tests and all related documentations and ensures the quality of testing/training along with the related documentation meets IT standards and is in line with the customer\'s specific environment.
  • Serves as a point of contact/communication between business and IT for projects and systems requirements, managing Business stakeholders\xe2\x80\x99 expectations effectively and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Acts as second level support for the end user community on functional clarifications and supports users on all functional queries and acts as first level support for projects during the cooling period, if required post implementation. Provides workarounds for application functionality to ensure uninterrupted operation.
  • Conducts data analysis to support evaluation of system defects; triage and troubleshoot complex user-reported system defects; assist in various system trouble shooting and balancing and correction efforts including analysis, verification and validation of issues and fixes.
  • Possesses a high-level understanding of the business areas and business processes supported by the PSS suite of applications including, but not limited to inventory management, pricing, GDS, departure control, web channel, travel agency, call centre
  • Provides relevant business inputs during the IT budgeting process.
  • Assists the Project/Program Manager in running the Program Change management process
  • Assists business managers in making necessary business cases for change requests.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in IT
Experience
  • Preferred No. of Years (with Bachelors Degree) 5
  • Preferred No. of Years (without Bachelors Degree) 8
