Job Description

Role Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve exceptional espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, and signature beverages with consistency. Dial in espresso and calibrate grinders daily to maintain quality standards. Master latte art and brewing methods (V60, Chemex, AeroPress, etc.). Monitor and uphold specialty coffee standards for flavor, presentation, and speed. Deliver warm, personalized service, engaging with customers to share knowledge of coffee origins, tasting notes, and brewing processes. Handle customer feedback professionally and ensure satisfaction. Foster a welcoming and memorable cafe atmosphere. Mentor and train Junior Baristas, guiding them in coffee knowledge, service skills, and cafe procedures. Support management in developing the cafe team through workshops and tastings. Take responsibility for shift leadership, delegating tasks to ensure smooth operations. Assist in cafe opening and closing procedures, ensuring operational efficiency. Monitor inventory, restock supplies, and report shortages. Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, equipment, and cafe space. Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting of espresso machines and grinders.

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 4-6 years of experience as a barista in a specialty cafe. Strong knowledge of coffee origins, processing, brewing methods, and latte art. Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and train junior staff. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Ability to handle peak service times while maintaining quality and composure. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
