Job Title: Senior Barista & Cafe Specialist

We are in search of an exceptionally experienced and dedicated Senior Barista & Cafe Specialist to enrich our team. This role requires not only mastery in crafting outstanding coffee beverages but also proficiency in cafe operations and recipe development. As a Senior Barista & Cafe Specialist, you will lead by example, ensuring that our cafe delivers top-notch coffee experiences while maintaining operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and serve a diverse range of coffee beverages with precision and consistency, upholding our quality standards and exceeding customer expectations.

2. Lead cafe operations, including opening and closing duties, inventory management, and equipment maintenance, to ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to health and safety regulations.

3. Develop and refine cafe recipes, including specialty drinks, pastries, and sandwiches, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative flavor combinations to attract and delight customers.

4. Train and mentor cafe staff on beverage preparation techniques, customer service best practices, and cafe procedures, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.

5. Monitor and optimize cafe workflows during peak hours, adjusting staffing levels and task assignments as needed to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.

6. Engage with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, building rapport and providing personalized recommendations based on their preferences and dietary restrictions.

7. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the cafe, including dining areas, service counters, and restroom facilities, to create a pleasant and hygienic environment for patrons and staff.

8. Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement promotional strategies, events, and marketing initiatives to attract new customers and drive cafe revenue growth.

9. Stay informed about industry trends, coffee sourcing practices, and sustainability initiatives, sharing knowledge and insights with colleagues and customers to enhance their appreciation of our products and mission.

10. Demonstrate leadership and initiative in problem-solving, resolving customer complaints and operational challenges promptly and effectively to ensure a positive experience for all stakeholders.

Qualifications:

1. Extensive experience as a barista in a high-volume cafe or coffee shop, coupled with proven expertise in cafe management and recipe development, preferably with 5-7 years of experience.

2. Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, espresso extraction, milk frothing, and latte art, combined with a passion for continuous learning and improvement in the craft.

3. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team and cultivate a positive work environment.

4. Solid understanding of cafe operations, including inventory control, equipment maintenance, food safety standards, and regulatory compliance.

5. Creative flair and culinary expertise in developing cafe recipes, with a focus on quality, freshness, and customer satisfaction.

6. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needs.

7. Certification from reputable coffee industry training programs (e.g., Barista Guild, Specialty Coffee Association) is preferred but not required.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED2,800.00 per month
