Senior Barista

Purpose of Position:

To prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages, assist in training and mentoring junior baristas, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. The Senior Barista plays a crucial role in maintaining the standards of the cafe and enhancing the overall customer experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve coffee and beverages according to cafe standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist in training and mentoring junior baristas, fostering their development and skill improvement. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service, handling special requests and ensuring customer satisfaction. Monitor and ensure the quality of beverages served, making adjustments as necessary. Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on coffee equipment to ensure optimal performance. Stay updated on new coffee trends, brewing methods, and industry best practices. Contribute to the development of new beverage recipes and menu items.

Proficiency in espresso machine operation and maintenance, ensuring equipment is in top working condition. Knowledge of different brewing methods, understanding the nuances of each to offer diverse beverage options. In-depth understanding of coffee bean origins, roasting processes, and flavor profiles. Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues promptly and efficiently.
