About the Role The Senior Associate-level Consultant (MENA) is an outstanding project manager and editor. As the leader of a small team, they know how to get great results through others and run point on critical client interactions. Specific responsibilities include: Client/Project Management
Owning critical deliverables by developing a vision and strategy and quickly mobilizing teams to bring it to fruition
Leadingclient calls and meetings in an articulate, poised, organized manner, while mentoring team members on how to engage with clients
Over-communicating with managers on progress and challenges, identifying problems and formulating solutions before they arise
Understandingbackground and nuance across our priority issue areas to form compelling arguments and provide strategic counsel to clients
Coachingjunior staff members on writing, client-facing interactions, and time management skills
Attending events and meetings with senior management on behalf of clients
Media & Communications
Making complex concepts accessible and actionable to a wide audience by developing strategies for creating key messages, press releases, pitches and other media-related content, fact sheets, social media posts and creative digital materials and mobilizing teams accordingly
Getting journalists excited about an issue or announcement by identifying the right media contacts, drafting compelling pitches and press releases and building relationships with reporters and major outlets
Elevating the voice and expertise of high-level influencers by developing and editing opinion pieces at key moments, prepping them for interviews, and providing ongoing counsel
Following and tracking trends in media coverage, key announcements, new evidence and high-level conversations that may impact priority global health challenges
Advocacy
Identifying strategic moments and new champions to influence target stakeholders and amplify our clients\xe2\x80\x99 strategic goals
Managing partner relationships through careful coordination and message alignment
Getting partners, influencers and decision-makers in the same place by owning major deliverables within high-level events, including identifying invitees and speakers, and developing agendas or presentations
Building new coalitions of support for an issue with dedicated outreach, organization and relationship management
Following and tracking trends in global health policies and funding opportunities to continuously innovate on strategy
Required Qualifications
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree
3-6 years of work experience in strategic communications and advocacy experience preferably supporting pharmaceutical companies in an agency setting, or working in regional healthcare businesses, private sector entities, or other related organizations around public health issues
Strong project management skills, including leading teams, managing multiple workstreams, leading client-facing interactions, and bringing projects to the finish line.
Deep understanding of public health issues across the MENA region
Exceptional communications skills in English (written and oral)
Microsoft Office, email marketing and social listening platform proficiency
Valuable Qualifications
Fluency in Arabic and French is an asset
Experience developing key messages, fact sheets, social media posts, and creative digital materials
Ability to draft compelling pitches and press releases and build relationships with reporters and major outlets
Experience running campaigns, organizing press briefings, workshops, or other events
Strong network of regional journalists and knowledge of relevant MENA outlets
