As a Senior Associate, you'll dive into planning, directing, completing audits, providing accounting advice and implementing new accounting standard s while supervising junior colleagues. As well as collaborating closely with senior colleagues on client engagements to drive success .





We are looking for talented and driven professionals to join our growing External Audit team at Grant Thornton. Whether you are stepping into an Assistant Manager role or already operating at Manager level, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients across both Financial Services and non-Financial Services sectors.

About the Financial Reporting Advisory Service

Where precision meets passion! Our GT UAE FRAS team provides essential advisory services in financial accounting, focusing on complex reporting standards, transaction support, and optimizing financial controls. Joining our team means being part of a dynamic group that empowers companies to achieve transparency, compliance, and excellence in financial reporting. The FRAS team sits within our Assurance service line and works closely with a range of clients across different industry sectors.

As a Senior Associate some of your responsibilities will include:

Supporting senior colleagues on financial accounting engagements Leading in preparing work papers and drafts for financial accounting engagements Leading in audit plans with a focus on identifying and addressing key financial reporting risks Leading in preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (eg., IFRS, US GAAP) Staying updated on new accounting standard and advising clients on the implications for their financial reporting Supporting accounting for new standards, entity restructuring, and conversions Providing hands-on client support that exceeds client expectations

Skills

Think you've got what it takes to be a Senior Associate? Like the color purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we're also hoping you can tick:

3+ years of experience in Accounting Advisory in a top international consulting firm Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) Solid understanding of IFRS requirements and practical knowledge around the application of accounting standards Comfortable using Microsoft Office Strong written and spoken English; Arabic speaking is advantageous Willingness and ability to work additional hours, as needed, and travel to various client sites
