1 Mission To be an integral part of the design team by taking the lead of the architecture and the full responsibility for the assigned project(s), ensuring that all works are carried out to the relevant international and local standards, delivered on time and to the full satisfaction of the Client. 2 Line and Staff Relations The Senior Architect will report to the Head of Architecture in the design office and to the assigned manager on site. He/she will work in coordination with other team members such as:

- Team of Architects and BIM technicians in the design office
- Engineers of different trades within the practice as well as with Engineers in other practices.
- With partners and sub-consultants assigned for the projects in the most professional manner, ensuring all meetings are minuted and all exchanges are adequately documented.
- Work with the design team on the delivery of a project from the concept stage to the project completion and take the lead on the architectural and coordination aspects of the project.
- Responsible for ensuring the design meets all relevant International Codes and Standards required for the project.
- Ensuring that all project deliverables (drawings, specifications, etc) meet the contractual requirements.
- Responsible to ensure that all projects\xe2\x80\x99 deliverables are fully coordinated technically across the different disciplines.
- Ensuring that works are fully coordinated with all sub-consultants.
- Verifying that the applicable Standard of deliverables for each stage is fully met and is reviewed for quality before submitting to the Client.
- Act as the project\xe2\x80\x99s Design Coordinator and contribute (fully or partially) to the overall design management activities.
- Carry-out independent design reviews for all types of projects.
- Active participation in meetings, including with the Client and Stakeholders, recording of minutes and reporting.
Documentation:
- Ensure all meetings with Client\xe2\x80\x99s representatives or external subconsultants are properly minuted and the minutes dispatched within the agreed time.
- All design deliverables are done according to the applicable standards and all relevant documentation is maintained for all deliverables.
- Ensure that minutes are prepared and dispatched for multidisciplinary internal coordination meeting.
- Coordinate works internally within all disciplines and ensure that the design is fully coordinated.
- Coordinate works with all external agencies involved, including Stakeholders, Sub-Consultants and all approving agencies/authorities.
- Ensure that all coordination works are planned as per the project program and tracked to ensure that all deliverables are received on time.
- Participate with Head of Architecture/ Design Managers in resource allocation and ensure that allocated resources are utilized effectively to meet the project deadlines.
- Communicate clearly to the team about all aspects of the project to ensure that the team is fully aware of the project at all times.
- At least 10 years of total experience with a minimum of 5 years on Airport projects.
- BArch / MArch Degree or equivalent
- Experience of leading teams or projects
- Experience of designing a large-scale project from beginning to completion.
- UAE/ Society of Engineers membership (meeting the criteria for Abu Dhabi Licence is a must)
- International Accreditation (RIBA, AIA or equivalent) and Sustainability Certification (LEED, PQP or equivalent) are preferred
- Full knowledge of Statutory Authorities requirements
- Full knowledge of International Codes and Standards, regulations and submission requirements
- Developed knowledge of Fire & Life Safety Principles and Sustainable Design principles
- Strong proficiency in Autocad and BIM (revit) skill
- Experience on Interior Design would be an advantage
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and people orientation competencies
