Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

Infrastructure & Cloud Architecture Consultant

to lead a comprehensive review and assessment of

IT infrastructure and cloud architecture

for a

digital banking environment

This role involves conducting

end-to-end evaluations

--from requirements gathering and design review to gap analysis, remediation validation, and operational effectiveness assessments--ensuring alignment with

SAMA regulations

,

ITIL

,

COBIT

, and

industry best practices

Key Responsibilities: Technology Design Review

Develop and distribute

data collection templates

for technology stakeholders. Gather and review architectural documentation (HLD/LLD, topology diagrams, capacity sizing, and inventories). Conduct up to

five stakeholder sessions

for data collection and validation. Analyze documentation to identify

gaps, inconsistencies, and missing information

, and provide feedback (up to two iterations).

2. Architecture & Operating Model Assessment

Assess

IT infrastructure and cloud architecture

for scalability, flexibility, integration, and dependency management. Evaluate the

cloud service provider's operating model

, service delivery efficiency, and governance alignment. Review

disaster recovery

design and readiness. Assess infrastructure and cloud software stacks for

interoperability and performance optimization

. Evaluate

IT processes and governance structures

in accordance with

ITIL

and

COBIT

frameworks. Ensure

design documentation

complies with

SAMA

and global best practices.

3. Design Gap Analysis & Recommendations

Conduct detailed

gap analyses

of ICT and cloud architecture, mapping each gap to

SAMA guidelines

and assigning

risk levels (high, medium, low)

. Develop

risk mitigation plans

, prioritized recommendations, and improvement roadmaps. Present findings and secure stakeholder

sign-off

through formal assessment reports.

4. Validation of Design Gap Closure

Validate

remediation efforts

across domains including

Cyber Security

,

Technology Governance

,

Business Continuity Management (BCM)

,

Data Privacy

,

Third Party Management

, and

IT Architecture

. Review

evidence of remediation actions

and update gap closure documentation, including

maturity assessments

. Highlight any

residual or showstopper gaps

and revise mitigation plans accordingly.

5. Pre-Go-Live Review

Verify closure of all

design-phase gaps

across people, processes, and technology. Assess

go-live readiness

, including system stability, team preparedness, and procedural compliance. Conduct

sample checks

on implemented controls and recommendations. Deliver

final pre-go-live validation reports

with improvement actions and agreed mitigation plans (up to two validation iterations).

6. Post-Go-Live Review

Evaluate

operational effectiveness

of IT infrastructure and cloud architecture post-implementation. Review evidence of remediation actions and operational procedures. Identify residual effectiveness gaps and recommend final corrective actions. Produce

operational effectiveness and control validation reports

.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in

IT infrastructure

and

cloud architecture assessment

, preferably within

banking or regulated industries

. Deep knowledge of

SAMA

,

ITIL

,

COBIT

, and related regulatory and governance frameworks. Proven experience in

gap analysis

,

risk assessment

,

remediation validation

, and

architecture optimization

. Strong understanding of

cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP)

and hybrid deployment models. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to deliver

clear, actionable recommendations

and comprehensive assessment documentation.
